โThe race is between liberal Janet Protasiewicz and conservative Dan Kelly.
At stake is a ten-year term that is expected to decide whether this court sides with liberals or conservatives. And, in another disputed Presidential election, the results could also determine the winner of Wisconsin's vote, which potentially could affect the national vote.โ
Another blinking RED WARNING beacon for democracy.
If you have time, Vote Forward can always use letter writers to reach out to voters before the election.

Gooooooo Janet! Wisconsin is a ridiculous state. And by that I mean what the legislature has done, not that residents are ridiculous (unless they support this extreme gerrymandering because it helps them).
I'm in WI and voted first thing this morning. I can't recall my number, but there was good turnout already. Which is fantastic. We have four vacant school board spots that Republicans/dark money are very involved in. It's wild. I'm so glad we'll have a break for a short time before the next campaign cycle begins.
I don't think I realized that some states vote for their judges.
Most of Texas does...it's pretty scary, because of all the money and you can just buy the judiciary now. From our state wide and county judges, they are elected.

Dave Wasserman I've seen enough: Janet Protasiewicz defeats Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin Supreme Court. The result flips ideological control of the court from conservative to liberal, a huge victory for the pro-choice side.
As I mentioned above, our school district/board race has received national attention. Three candidates are heavily backed by MAGATs and it has been exhausting listening to all the bullshit and pushing back.
All three MAGAT backed candidates are currently losing by A LOT. Iโm giddy. Downright gleeful.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.โ

All three of my picks won by landslides!
I can't find the tweet, but it was something like, "The Chair of the Republican Party of WI called the races in (my town), "The most important school board races in the state." Conservative candidates went 0-3, with none receiving more than 40% of the vote."
Our district recently passed very inclusive human growth and development curriculum. Conservatives are all up in their feelings about it. They're also very critical of the school board's response to the pandemic. And there are threats to remove our Black superintendent.
