BREAKING: Donald Trump will be ARRESTED in NYC, as early as next week, per reports that Manhattan DA has meeting next week with law enforcement (including Secret Service) on logistics of the arrest.

I think it would have been a mess however it was handled. They couldn't arrest him before the indictment, right? And they needed to inform the authorities should violence be expected. I suspect they needed to tell him that he personally needed to be in court to turn himself in.

I don't think he is a flight risk and I do think we will get a perp walk. Trump wants to rile up his minions and seeing him in cuffs will do that. He is going to embrace being arrested.

Given what happened on Jan. 6, this definitely feels like the type of situation where they should swoop in at 3 am with no warning before he can take to social media and further put out a call to arms. It's disgusting that he's simultaneously using this to incite violence and fundraise.

Since Trump is reportedly at Mar a Lago, will be interesting to see if DeSantis' strict laws re protests apply to the MAGA crowd or not. I've seen some stories on IG saying the radicals plan to surround the resort and will be armed with rifles and ready to prevent an arrest. I hope law enforcement is prepared for a mob. If these groups actually form they need to call in the national guard.

1. I hope they do that and all get arrested.
2. Can't law enforcement just helicopter in and avoid all the yokels at the gate?
3. I've decided to ignore my innate pessimism and be excited about this.
