So for years the news coverage on him has been no-one is above the law with all the shit he's done. Now this week we've moved to do we really want to go after him on something like this? We just can't win ever. For the Georgia case, am sure it'll be do we want to litigate the election now that's it's over? This week will be chaos.

I wonder if we'll see a perp walk though.  I think as much as he loves the drama and chaos of it, I think he is insecure and would be embarrassed to be seen that way.  So am sure they'll work something out behind the scenes.

Well, the tweet in this thread also said arrested.

The tweet in this thread says “Trump is suggesting that he will be ARRESTED ON TUESDAY”. And then goes on to say the first president to be indicted. Unless I missed another tweet, but it’s still trump says arrested, and everyone else say indicted. 

I’m trying to temper my hopes and dreams, least they be crushed again.

Yes, I watch a lot of MSNBC and multiple people have pointed out that the "arrested on Tuesday" idea only comes from Trump and has not been confirmed by any news sources.  It seems like Trump's attempt to control the narrative and drum up support/ chaos.   MSNBC has also reported that at least one more witness needs to testify and, of course, the grand jury has to actually vote, so it'd pretty unlikely that he will actually be arrested on Tuesday. He might be indicted by Tuesday and I'm sure Trump is dumb enough to not know the difference between indictment and arrest.

I think he will be indicted this week and that the arrest will follow.

I am not expecting handcuffs on Tuesday, but dude is going down and not just for this. This is just the first domino.

I’ve been pretty pessimistic throughout the era of Trump and was among the first people I know to point out that he could win when everyone thought he wouldn’t. I feel pretty comfortable in my stance that he finally will be facing consequences (although probably not as dramatic as we hope this week.)

I mean, DeSantis is a dystopian nightmare too, and smarter than Trump. (I do not find Trump charismatic, but a certain brand of crass, bigoted people do and I don’t think they find the same gross something they do in Trump. But I think DeSantis is close to mainstream enough that he will draw in the never Trumpers and that frightens me immensely.)

I saw some clips of a desantis event last week and he really really doesn’t like people or engaging with people. It was so awkward watching him and he struggled to be personable or talk to people. Everything he does is so orchestrated and planned. He is gonna have a rude awakening trying to campaign.

We’re in PB this week for spring break, and while I’m not usually one to overdramatize things, being on an island potentially overrun with arms carrying lunatics is a tad unsettling. There’s probably not many available places to stay in the nearby vicinity, but something tells me that won’t stop all of them. I remember when Christie called out Rubio on being a robot in the debate and it ended him. I could see Trump doing the same thing. But yeah R’s don’t care and have no bar. It’ll still be tough for desantis to navigate.
