We bought a 1st home 15 years ago and I honestly don’t remember having a closing agent. We are buying a 2nd home and the lender asked for the contact info for our closing agent.
Is this something that is required? If so how do I go about finding a good one?
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I agree with mofongo I think that is where you close aka the title company. My RE agent arranged all that. She asked if I had a preference but I didn't so she arranged it to happen with the title company she used most. (I am in W MI).
Yes! You and nomad100 were correct. Reached out to our realtor and she said it was through their title company and had and name/contact all ready for us!

They could mean the closing coordinator for the brokerage your agent works for? I was a closing coordinator before I became an agent and I handled all of the files once they were under contract.
