I had microblading done a couple of years ago and it did not last long for me. My brows are disappearing, and I spend so much time and money trying to fill in what I have, so I'd love to find a more long-term option.
What other alternatives are there? I have very oily skin and spend a lot of time in the sun, if that makes a difference. I don't have much natural brow left so I don't think lamination would work?
Or is microblading the best option and I need to do it much more often?

Have you thought about powder brows instead of microblading? It's actually a tattoo.
4 years back I got "combo brows" which are part microblading part powder brows. Only the powder brows part is still visible. When I get them redone eventually I'm just getting full powder brows.
There is a risk that the ink color can change over time.

I would guess micro blading wasn’t the best for your skin type. Powder brows would likely be a better fit. I follow larajadebeauty on insta and she talks about the differences between the two procedures a lot. If you’re looking for something other than a tattoo, I would go the eyebrow serum + eyebrow tint route.

How long did your micro blading last? I haven’t done a touch up yet but my person was very clear that it’s not permanent and you’d need touch ups every 12-24 months (depending on how your skin holds the pigment)

About 3 months It was nearly all gone when I went in for the 2nd visit, then it looked good again for a month or so, then faded completely. So disappointing.
I waited 6 months to get in with the most recommended person in my area so I was extra disappointed!
When I had my initial microblading, I went back 3 months later (for free/included in the original price) for touch-ups. Then I go annually. I still fill in daily when I put on makeup, but it doesn't look weird when I go without, and the microblading sort of shows me what the shape should be. Last time I went, she did more like semi-permanent tattoo vs. microblading? I don't know. She's super pricey but without the microblading I don't really have eyebrows.
I agree about the powder brows suggestions. I have oily skin and when I originally went in to get them microbladed, the woman doing my brows said I probably wasn't a good candidate for microblading because of my oily skin. We tried the microblading anyway, but they were almost gone when I went in for my 2nd appointment. At that time I got the powder brows and they lasted so much better. I went in for a touch up about 18 months after the first procedure and I just recently got another touchup that was two years after that. Before my most recent appointment, the pigment had faded some, but they still looked pretty good.
I've also heard that nano brows are much better for oily skin than traditional microblading.
I hope the brow serums work for you! I've tried a few (each one for 6+ moths) and unfortunately, none of them did much for me.

I second, third and fourth growth serum. I use revitalash and it’s fantastic. You need to be super consistent with it but you will definitely see growth both for eyebrows and eyelashes.

I recently started Latisse for my brows based on a recommendation from my waxer. It’s only beeen a week, so no difference yet, but I’m hopeful. It was way cheaper than micro blading!
