I just asked my husband if it was not significantly lighter this afternoon and he thinks it’s the light. I think he freshened up the dye too.

Do we know if this would be a judge or a jury trial? I can't even understand how they'd pick a jury who promised to be fair.

My understanding is there is not an official gag order, however the judge did issue a warning today.

It sounds like he basically ignored that warning in his speech tonight.

I think the defendant gets to choose bench vs. jury trial and that hasn't officially happened yet. I don't know what his long game is, but it seems like he's laying the groundwork to claim the judge was prejudiced. 

Maybe I'm naive but I do think there are some people out there who could objectively weigh the facts against the law regardless of their political affiliation, like there were in Fulton County. But how you insulate those people from all his nonsense, I don't know. I suspect the trial process will drag out and being sequestered for a long trial would be miserable.

I am grumpy this morning and this is aimed more at the talking heads than anyone in this thread but I am absolutely floored by people who are downplaying this arraignment and the charges. Obviously there are implications for future elections and such, but it feels fundamentally important that there are efforts to have this fucking guy face some consequences for his illegal actions. He’s spent his entire life conducting business as if he was above the law, and regardless of what happens here it feels really critical to the future of this country that prosecutors are willing to go out on a limb to try to get some shred of justice. It will never be enough and maybe it isn’t satisfying to see a bunch of stuff that’s been rehashed for the past 5+ years turn into felony charges but that doesn’t make any of this less worthy of prosecution.

Not to mention as someone who constantly has people opining about my professional choices when they have an incomplete picture or lack relevant expertise, I kind of cringe at all the speculation that the prosecutors are overplaying their hand etc. It is so irritating and feels entirely for sensationalist media headlines and dramatic panel discussions on air.

This is very random but the actor Michael Rapport appears to have stolen my video of MTG leaving the Trump court today and then added his own voice to make it sound like he was screaming at her the own whole time.
