Hi! Does anyone have a resort or hotel recommendation for Mexico. Looking specifically for something for a 4-5 day couple-only vacay that’s not too far down the coast (will be flying from the Bay Area). We love food, culture and just relaxing - not into the party scene. Thanks!
My happy place is Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at Cappella Pedregal and it was amazing. It was bought out or something and renamed The Resort at Pedregal but with the same staff, and it was still amazing. I cried both times we left, but I blame that on being in pharmacy school and then working for the most miserable boss ever. 😅 It's now the Waldorf Pedregal, I think, but we haven't been under that management.
There's plenty to do in Cabo, but I'm also 1000% happy just sitting by the pool with a book when we're there. It wasn't all inclusive when we went, and it wasn't adults only but it's $ enough that people don't really seem to bring kids.
We also stayed at Cappella Ixtapa, which was great but not cry-when-leaving great. 🙂

I'd recommend a trip up the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur. Cabo San Lucas is fun and casual when it's not spring break. Todos Santos is northwest of Cabo (on the Pacific side) and is a sleepy surf town, while La Paz is north of Cabo (on the Sea of Cortez side) and is a beautiful little area.
It's a really different side of Mexico and is just stunning. I worked on a cruise ship that docked in Cabo and went up to La Paz, Loreto and Mulege and I loved it so much.
We recently stayed at the Cape in Cabo and it was amazing. Not a party vibe but a younger crowd and only saw one kid. We didn’t do much other than lounged at the pool and all the restaurants were delicious. Highly recommend.
