Not really for credit card churning- we just have the double cash back one and have talked about getting the CSR forever and neither of us have sat down to fill out an app-but for travel planning.

That’s just when United opens their calendar. Since I have to find 5 award tickets I have to do it the day they open usually if I don’t want ridiculous routings. Some flights they don’t open to award seats or only to like 3 or 4, but I have the best choices booking opening day. I book one ways so I can do this. I also do dummy bookings regularly to get an idea of availability on a targeted route before they release tickets. So I have a pretty good idea what routings I can get.

For southwest I book the day they open up their schedule, but they are more variable. And I only do that if it’s a desirable route like Hawaii, Costa Rica, Belize, etc.
