I wasn't a huge fan of BBB. I found it to be overpriced and they never seemed to have what I was looking for. I guess I've always bought that kind of stuff at Target. 

Plus the random toy wonderland at Christmastime.

Absolutely!  My Dad would say if Mills doesn't have it, you don't need it.

A friend turned me on to Home Goods and TJ Maxx when I moved north 2.5 years ago and since then I've never been back to BBB.

I think 90% of our Christmas presents from my parents come from there.

I am not surprised at all. All the stores around me have had very low inventory for the longest time. It was also mostly their own brand. I was very disappointed about the lack of selection. Target had a better selection of home items than bed bath and beyond.
