Tahoe recs?

I’m visiting family in the Bay Area and we want to go to Tahoe for a few days in July. Any recs on where to stay, what to do? We have never been to Tahoe in the summer. Between my sister and me we’ll have 4 kids ages 10, 3.5, 2, 1.5.

We go to Palisades Tahoe every year and stay at the Everline Hyatt resort. The views are stunning and it’s a great place for kids. We went a couple summers ago and spent a lot of time at the pool (which has a small water slide), went river rafting, hung out in Tahoe City, and I think went hiking. It’s also really affordable for a suite.
