I think this sounds amazing.

I also think it sounds tricky to navigate in partially gentrified or really stratified neighborhoods. White Savior Karens and Community Watch mindset assholes ruin everything. I imagine it'd be a careful dance to not empower those types if they're present in the area.

This was my thought, too. It has great potential in some areas, but I think it would be an absolute nightmare in my immediate area. No matter how much public education went out about what people Can and can’t do, people would absolutely be on power trips and shoot at anyone who dared step on their property.

Just read nextdoor to see what could happen. We used to have a single person give a 6am daily count of "suspect" cars, vans, bicycles, anything that might indicate someone unhoused. It was really gross
