I’ll admit some of these made me cackle, but according to AI, we have no Black people, Asian people, Latinx people, or Indigenous people in the US, but we do have aliens (omfglol at New Mexico).

This is pretty endemic to AI as a whole. Most images that have, up to this point, been added to databases prominently feature caucasians. That's why that ap that went around making everyone into different genres using AI got the AI community excited, so that the AI being used was being fed fresh pictures from a new diverse pool. AI can only generate what it finds or is in it's database. Of course, that ap had problems in and of itself.
I think these are stereotypes many Americans have about other states to be honest. I will be honest - I loved the Idaho with the guy holding a giant potato!
As a Texas-New Mexican, it seems to be pretty accurate, lol.
The only image of white people from a given state that didn't fit my mental stereotype was Vermont. But I don't know anyone in or from Vermont, though...
As for lack of diversity in any of the images, I just have to ditto to what is above.

I'm pretty freaked out that AI seems to be getting the gist of hands, even if some are still kinda funky.
CO is pretty spot on.
That was my thought too. Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas have traditional AI hands with questionable amounts of fingers, but no other extra appendages, so I’m relatively impressed.
I’m in a group that does AI art generation for funsies, and some of the results are quite amusing.
AI is now relying on art generated by AI to make stuff, so the suspicion is that it should get progressively weirder.

Yeah, it was like 90% white dudes with a handful of couples.
On top of the total lack of POC, did anyone else notice the massive gender imbalance?
I'm a little crazy, so I dug into the numbers. Out of the 50 states, 38 (or 76%) are represented by a man alone (or with other people/aliens blurry in the background). 10 states have both men and women (including families and couples). Only 2 states are represented by just a woman alone.
Add it up and there are 48 men and 20 women shown, and a big percentage of those women are daughters shown with their fathers.
AI reflects society, and bias in AI is a huge problem.
