How likely is it that Meadows' would get his request granted?
There will probably be an evidentiary hearing, but I have heard it's unlikely the motion will be granted, as he has to prove that the conduct was within the scope of his official federal job duties.
I thought there were very defined rules that federal employees could not work on campaigns/elections as part of their work day. I just toured the capital 2 weeks ago with my Congress woman and I was chatting with her chief of staff, who told me they had to take a leave from their congressional job to work on her last campaign.
So if legal campaign work is not allowed, I’m not sure why Meadows thinks he can claim ILLEGAL campaign work is a part of his job.

And he's giving a presser on the tarmac at his plane...MSNBC isn't showing it live, but will cover it later. Maddow is covering his bond restrictions & what he can say/do.
