But also like...why? Why dilute it? Why create chaos? Why do this when it's already precarious? I just don't understand it.

This is what I would have thought too. Maybe it's a way to get his name out there more in MN and then he will run when Walz is up? I'm not sure.

I’m from MN, but I’m excited he’s running. I’m hoping he can get a lot of the middle of the road votes. Anything to not have Trump again.

But let's be real. He's not going to win the primaries and be the Dem nominee in the general. He's just not.

I disagree, many people on this board have said they will vote for Biden simply because he’s the D candidate, not that he’s a good option. If the Republican Party gets their crap together and puts forth a candidate who is not Trump, the middle is going to be what each party needs to win. I have many right leaning family members who are interested in what Phillips has to say. It’s a good time to vet the candidates out and get a strong start.

Again, in order for this scenario to play out, he would have to beat the sitting president in the primaries. That's just not going to happen.

Same. I am struggling to understand the low approval rating. He’s not the most exciting guy in town. He’s made some mistakes. But overall, his government is working even while half of the government is actively working against him. What am I missing?

My local mayoral race is disheartening. The incumbent is great. The challenger is backed by biiiig money and ultimately I think he'll win. Unfortunately he will be horrible for my town. His plan for our housing crisis? Buy a house through your employer with conditions to stay and work....because we know from history that worked out so well.

White people didn't elect him. I swear this is what it is. They all wanted the nebulous "someone else" while the minority voters nominated someone who could win. I would bet money that if the polls were broken down by race this is what it would show.
