Oh wow. This is such a sick thing to do. Israel is trying to weaponize real antisemitism in the world to justify their actions against innocents. This is so dangerous. Acting this way is a threat to Jews everywhere. These people are the definition of crybullies.

Did you create an account just to so you can come after Jews?
"Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, spoke this evening (Monday), at the UN Security Council's emergency discussion on the war in Gaza and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, convened at the request of the United Arab Emirates.
Erdan did this while wearing a yellow patch with the inscription "Never Again", and compared the silence of the United Nations regarding the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7 to that of the countries of the world against the Nazis during the Second World War"
Is it being a "crybully" to decry the murder and kidnapping of civilians by a terrorist organization and the silence from the world in the aftermath?

Your comment is not sitting well with me. I saw the video. He can share the very real fear that Jewish people are experiencing and how the Hamas attack impacted them and call out countries for not responding to what's going on without it being considered weaponizing antisemitism.
Erdan said the stars were "a symbol of pride, a reminder that we swore to fight back to defend ourselves", adding that antisemites had been empowered and hatred of Jews was growing in many countries.
Don’t get distracted. “A REMINDER WE SWORE TO FIGHT BACK AND DEFEND OURSELVES.” If you think what Isreal is currently doing is justifiable as “defense” I don’t know wtf to tell you..
I, and many others, don't think for one second that what is happening in Gaza is justified. I don't think its self defense at this point either. I think it is genocide. I also acknowledge that the response of the Israeli government may feel differently to Jewish people or Israelis. Our viewpoints may be different coming from different histories and experiences.
I also think that he is sharing real fears and I don't judge him for that.
Isn't there a way to ban IP addresses? Can we get on that.
No. All they would need to do is reset their router. There is no effective way to really ban someone. It's been years since I had to explain this again.

Healthcare providers in Gaza are sharing that they are being targeting.
I'm glad to know that there is a large number of us in healthcare around the world wiling and ready to go help once we can. I know there are many groups who are organizing already to be able to move ASAP.
If anyone is looking for IG accounts from inside Gaza to follow, DM me. Warning, the footage is sometimes very graphic and not always blurred out.
Dozens of people have been killed in an Israeli air raid on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to a medical official and Palestinian authorities in the besieged territory.
“More than 50 people have been killed,” Dr Atef al-Kahlout, director of the Indonesian Hospital, told Al Jazeera. He said the hospital was not yet able to provide the total number of casualties as it was still counting the victims.
Jerusalem CNN — An Israeli strike targeting a Hamas commander in the densely populated Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza has left catastrophic damage and killed a large number of people, according to eyewitnesses and medics in the enclave.
“I was waiting in line to buy bread when suddenly and without any prior warning seven to eight missiles fell,” an eyewitness, Mohammad Ibrahim, told CNN. “There were seven to eight huge holes in the ground, full of killed people, body parts all over the place,” he said. “It felt like the end of the world.”
Jabalia is the largest refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. It was established in 1948. After the 1948 War, refugees settled in the camp, most having fled from villages in southern Palestine.
Today, the camp covers an area of only 1.4 square kilometers. 116,011 Palestine Refugees are registered with UNRWA in Jabalia camp.
At what point is it enough? I know Netanyahu has plans to eliminate all Palestinians, but at what point is the killing enough for the rest of the world to step in? Who else do they have to kill? They have killed kids throwing rocks. They have killed farmers. They have killed men and women and children for any reason-valid or not. They have targeted journalist. they have targeted journalist's families. They have targeted healthcare workers. They have killed innocent civilians. They have told people what route to take away from the North to supposedly avoid being killed and killed them anyway. They have killed people in safe zones. And now refugee camps. This is not war. This is annihilation of an entire people.
How many Palestinian babies have now died? The number of kids is over 4000 and many more unaccounted for. Haven't enough died now to avenge the death of the Israeli babies? That's always the answer when officials are asked on camera about the number dead-"Do you think its ok that Isreali babies were killed?" As if all the Palestinian babies must die to make it ok. As if it's only inhumane and an atrocity when Israeli babies are murdered. As if Palestinian babies don't deserve to live the same way Israeli babies do. As if it's not ok to condemn the killing of any babies.
Every day is more horrific than the last. For the people in Gaza and Muslim people and Jewish people around the world who are experiencing an insane rise in hate crime.
I also didn't want to not respond and have readers think it was more silence when comments that aren't ok are made.
This is such a hard balance to figure out online. Commiseration here.
Honestly I’ve been quiet because there’s not much to say that already hasn’t been said and all of it amounts to helplessness. Every atrocity on both sides can be met with a legitimate “but…” (whether actual or perceived is irrelevant because legitimacy is in the eye of the beholder.). But but buts all the way down to the beginning of history. None of it is right or fair but it’s all about survival so how do you reconcile that? I certainly can’t. And I’m not going to give it whirl here among my friends when I’m hurting for everyone.
So the day after they bomb a refugee camp full of people they displaced and made refugees in the first place. Murdering a bunch of people but was ‘justified’ with a “we told them to leave”. They said they killed the man they apparently did it for, the person they decided was worth the murder of hundreds of innocent men woman and children for. Anyway, the next day they decide to drop a bomb on them again, I guess just for fun?
There is a large March planned for Dc this weekend in support of a cease fire.
I keep reading how supporting a ceasefire is supporting Hamas. Or not making it clear in the marches or protests for ceasefire that the marchers also support the end of Hamas so marchers must support Hamas.
Wtf? Just more ways to paint us as all evil. Why do Palestinians and those that support a free Palestine and end to occupation and a ceasefire to end deaths in both places (and around the world) have to asterisks their statements?
Why aren’t the pro Israel marches or the I stand with Israel sign holders being asked if they are also making it clear that they are against killing innocent civilians or against the occupation?
Why is it only Palestine supporters that have to justify their humanity?
The more inequity I see as this horrific ethnic cleansing goes on-from institutions that put out pro Israel communications but prohibit ones that highlight anything related to Palestine, the condemning of anyone who dares post on the towns Facebook page anything that is anything other than staunch pro Israel, and the silencing of any Arab voices everywhere, the angrier and sadder I get.
Bombing the refuge camp again today, after saying yesterday that the target there was already killed in yesterdays bombing is evil. There is no justification for that. No matter what Israeli officials say.
A doctor of color in my neighborhood has been put on leave for signing on to a letter from faculty at a university that was asking the university not to be complicit in doxing and punishing students who had participated in events for the support of the Palestinian people. The doctor’s practice posted about this so I know it’s not just rumors. So fucked up.
There’s a healthcare workers supporting Palestine rally on Friday so I hope I can make it.
fryjack2, I appreciate your comments on the march. My H and I are planning on going, but as you may have seen in the anti-Semitism thread I have had some concerns about what message I personally am putting out by attending. I am pro Palestinians and Muslims in general and also pro Jews. For me, I have not and would not attend a pro-Israel rally but if I had I would have had similar worries about communicating the wrong message about Palestine and Muslims. I guess my personal concern is less about what is in the hearts and minds of the people at the marches (as I assume nearly everyone on both sides is anti-Hamas and doesn't support killing innocents), and more that signs and chants and things said at a march are typically simplified into sound bite sorts of information that lack nuance. I don't want to add fuel to the rising fire of anti-Semitism.
All those concerns aside, though, I think we're going to just go to the march and try to stop overthinking how to best please everyone. At the end of the day, genocide is unacceptable and that's the loudest message that needs to be out there.
I have been staying out of this thread, because of the drama with various posters, new screen names, etc.
But. I’m really fucking tired of being told that supporting a ceasefire is supporting Hamas and is akin to supporting the Oct 7 massacre. I’m also tired of the delusion that killing every member of Hamas would achieve anything of meaning or value when we still have the exact same circumstances that led to the rise of Hamas in the first place. Do people really think that if we get rid of Hamas, that vacuum won’t get filled?
I am not pretending to have any answers. But what I’m hearing from my fellow Jews the past month is eye opening to me, especially as some (IRL) are basically letting their racism show pretty clearly at this point.

In the US it's shameful that we haven't learned from the experience of the war in Afghanistan. Almost 20 years of war. Hundreds of thousands of people killed, and the minute we withdraw the old power returned full force. It was all for nothing.
