I absolutely have this problem. I’ve been getting the New Yorker and The Atlantic for years, and used to read all the issues pretty much cover to cover.
Quitting the New Yorker was one of the best things I did for my mental health. I used to feel so much pressure to read cover to cover, which is dumb.

My grandmother used to say you either read the New Yorker or you read books, and u used to have so much guilt because H reads the New Yorker and so it comes to our house weekly and I rarely pick it up, but I read books.
I view my Want to Read and Podcast Playlists as “options” rather than “to dos.”
There are so many fantastic books, there’s just no way I could ever read everything I’d love to read. I add them FAR faster than I read them. (My list is currently almost 600, and I read about 50 a year.) That doesn’t stress me out, though…it makes me so thankful that I have nearly endless options. There’s always SOMETHING that I want to read, am actually in the mood to read (huge), and is available in the format I want at all times.
I credit Goodreads and the Want to Read list with 99% of the reason I’ve gone from reading maybe 1-2 books a year to 50. I could never remember what I wanted to read and would get overwhelmed at the library/book store.
How do you get your audio books? I'd love to listen to as many as you, but I use the library's free app, Libby, and every single book that I want to listen to has a multiple month/week wait. I'm waiting on probably a dozen audio books now. A few are available now that are classics, but those aren't the ones I want. Do you have a paid service you use?
I also use Libby but doa mix of holds and available now. I usually have a bunch of holds with staggered wait times and while I wait I search for audio books + available now + genre and just pick whatever looks good
