Would you rather they not respond at all? Do you prefer a thoughtful response?
I’m the okay person. That’s why I ask
It feels abrupt, since tone is so hard to read over text. I think “okay sure” or “sounds good!” or “that’s fine” or “that works” all make it more clear that things are actually fine and that the person isn’t put out or agreeing reluctantly
This makes sense. Thank you for responding. I will be mindful of this going forward

I went to the doctor on Wednesday because I was afraid my cold was turning into a sinus infection. She was not convinced and wanted me to give it a few more days of self care, which is fine. But she said she would send over a script for antibiotics, but I got a good talking to about waiting til the weekend to pick them up, and only if needed. Fine. So I’m waiting. But dude, the frigging pharmacy hasn’t even filled it yet. Last time I needed a refill, it took over a week and three trips to the pharmacy (because they won’t answer the phone). And I’m just sitting here thinking what if I actually needed something now. WTH?!
And with that, I’m officially looking for a new pharmacy. I’ve heard good things about the Costco pharmacy. I liked I could walk to this one, but I just can’t deal with it. And yes, I knows it’s not the pharmacist’s fault. It’s corporate killing them.
If the pharmacy is a CVS down the street from the high school and next to the recently renovated Starbucks, they have gone down hill. We used to get our prescriptions there and switched. They would text us saying our Rx was ready but when we showed up to get it, they made us wait while they filled it. The worst was when we'd waited in the drive thru line only to be told to come back in 20 minutes.

Well - it might be just me! 🙂
It's not just you! "Ok" somehow reads as "ugh, fine, I hate you but whatever, I'll do it" over text even though in real life conversation it's a completely normal word. For text I use more actively positive phrases like perfect, great, sounds good, awesome, that totally works, etc.
My mother used to make the chili sauce and grape jelly meatballs and serve them over egg noodles. I found a recipe for making them in the crockpot with frozen meatballs which I have a bag of so I am going to make them this week.
My kids have asked for a "yes day" before and I told them no. I didn't trust them enough for that.
Saaaaaame. It also sounds exhausting?
I was prepared mentally and physically to spend the day going from activity to activity. But it was just me and DS1 who’s 8. It would be different if I had both kids.
After his BFF left for lunch, we had lunch at our house. He skipped cleaning up his dishes 🤣. Then he went back to BFF’s house… so I got to sit and read alone in my house. Around 3:30 we went and got ice cream before picking up DS2 from daycare. The boys wanted pizza for dinner. They played nicely til bedtime. Then he wanted me to sit with him while he listened to a sleep story on calm and fell asleep.
So… he took it REALLY easy on me!!! but it worked out. And he said it was the best day ever!! 🤷🏻♀️
Did I miss whether TR had to go to a hotel for the night?
No, I never updated. The tree guys figured out how to turn off the water at the source so I could turn the main water back on. it was a sprinkler pipe that had sheared off, we assume, due to the vibrations. He called a guy he knew who was supposed to come at 3pm but ended up coming at 5:30 who fixed it in 5 minutes. It was a long day of chainsaws and stump grinding and our house/front yard looks terrible now. H had dug up everything from our front garden beds and is planning to replant new stuff, but for now we just have half dead grass, a giant sawdust pile and two beds of dirt.
