I’m sorry if this has been asked but I can’t find it in the 500+ posts.
Is anyone using levity, hers, skinny rx or other online compounders for semaglutide? My doctor prescribed Wegovy but insurance won’t cover any weight loss drugs and I can’t spend $1k a month. He offered Zepboud because it’s cheaper but it’s still over $400 a month. I keep seeing online companies for less and was wondering if they’re legit. I want to start the meds and the dr believes they will significantly help me but I don’t want to spend $400 a month forever since insurance won’t cover anything for obesity.
I use IVIM
I’ve posted about it before though I don’t blame you for not wading through. Research it and decide if it’s right for you. If you do, figure out which specific pharmacy the telehealth place you’re using gets their meds through. They’re are not the pharmacy themselves.

Well I scheduled an appointment with my PCP yesterday due to shakiness and suddenly severe anxiety (like very little to don’t feel safe driving which is not possible where I live so it’s been an interesting week). Thankfully DH has a flexible schedule and has been so supportive.
She did some bloodwork and that all came back normal so she wants me to come off the meds for two weeks and then go back to 5 (was on 7.5). I am T2 so I am waiting to hear back from my endo on what they want me to do for those two weeks.
So annoyed and frustrated. I was planning to go back to 5 anyway because I have felt like garbage so I haven’t been able to do much of anything which kinda defeats the purpose of going higher to lose some more weight but the shot has been great for my blood sugar and I have no idea what he’s going to do in the meantime (and I didn’t hear back today).
I am on wegovy and my next shot is tomorrow. I am flying out of town tonight for a big concert tomorrow and a vacation. Do I take the shot now/today a day early or wait until I am back late Wednesday? I don’t get too sick but often have headache and major fatigue the next day which would suck for the trip. But I am also struggling to lose much weight so I hate to screw up the dosing. Thoughts???

meowmaps, thanks for sharing. I am going up in dose on Tuesday and it'll be the last box of my current 'script. I am hoping my insurance company will give the go-ahead for another 6 months. The GI side effects are real w/ W and while I think it's worth it, they aren't great.
I wanted to update again in the interests of being transparent. I stopped taking the phentermine last Thursday. I had two new side effects that I didn’t have last time - bloating and numbness/pins and needles in my arms. The numbness freaked me out and the discomfort was keeping me awake on top of the insomnia. My doctor recommended taking half a pill a day for a while and then moving up to a full pill but I don’t want to take it again. So that’s that.
I just finished my first 4 full weeks of Zepbound at 2.5mg. I've lost over 12 pounds and had almost no side effects. It's been amazing. I actually wanted to stay at 2.5mg for another 4 weeks and my doctor was fine with it but apparently my insurance doesn't cover it that way.
I took my first 5mg last night and so far so good. I'm tired today but not sure if that's the medicine or just Monday.
I am so frustrated. Due to insurance issues, I have had to stretch out 3 shots between the last 2 months. I have gained 11 lbs back and feel like I have zero self-control again.
I finally got insurance to cover the meds, but my copay towards my deductible was $1200!! So then I got the discount savings card and it brought it down to $650. Fine. Desperate so I pay it. But now my strenth (15mg) is on back order.
I realize this is all very first world issues, but it is making me feel really irritable on top of the election stress and regular life.
I switched to tirzepatide from semaglutide. I’d stopped losing weight, and the side effects were rough, plus I’d already lost 90+ pounds. So I took a break, and switched. I’m just about to go up for the third tier dosing. I hope it works, because I’ve not lost a dang thing in 2 months.
I know my diet could improve a lot (I’ve been drinking and eating way too much sugar), and I need to increase my exercise & incorporate strength training. I also started HRT. I’m hoping the next dose tier and changing my intake/output will help. I’m so frustrated!!
I had a weird experience last week. I've been on GLPs for over 2 years, and haven't had any major side effects since the first few months I was taking them. But all those early side effects came back after my shot last week - vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. Nothing different about the medication or dosage; I've been on the same thing for at least 9 months now. I had the stomach flu the week before, so I'm hoping it was just my GI system protesting and not indicative of some change in how my body is reacting to the meds.

Congrats! I just took my third 2.5 mg shot. I have only lost 2 lbs, but I am eating less and back into a workout routine. This morning on my walk I actually jogged a bit, which hasn’t happened in years. I am pretty convinced the lack of weight loss is either change from fat to muscle or just my cycle. I normally don’t lose weight for a bit, then have a decent drop later. 🤞
Has anyone experienced hair loss on Zepbound or any of these meds? I am pretty sure it's the meds and not peri-menopause, as the timing lines up. Every shower I am losing about a small handful. I don't know what to do.

I’ve been losing less hair. I started HRT for perimenopause though, but I’ve been on this med for about 2 months. Sorry, not super helpful.

god yes. so much. But it is likely due to losing weight rapidly than an actual side effect of the medication. For me, I already had thin, fine hair to start, so I got on minoxodil. my bff decided not to, and as her loss tapered off and she moved to maintenance, she stopped losing her hair.
janegold, that sucks, I am sorry to hear you feel so ill!

Hair loss during weight loss is totally normal. It'll stabilize.
Back on Mounjaro 2.5 again after being off it since August I think? DH changed jobs and it was 60 days for our new insurance to kick in. Luckily with the new one my copay was $0 which was a nice surprise! I have gained back 10lbs while I was off but have eaten like shit and went on a 10 day trip to Croatia during that time too where I drank a lot etc. Hopefully I can get this off and more this time. I have an endo appointment tomorrow to get my labs updated etc since its been about 7 months since I've gone. I worked out yesterday too- Pelton 30 min ride and an arms workout which was nice. I use to workout 3-5 days a week but have gotten out of the habit in the past year and I really would like to get back to it because I do enjoy working out when I do and I feel better!

we are in the same boat, with no insurance due to my husband switching jobs and a 60 day wait until his new insurance kicks in. It starts Dec 1 and will also be a $0 copay! Also since August I have gained back 10 lbs, which is so frustrating. I paid OOP for my meds today ($$$) so I hope to start losing again now.

I am officially down 44lbs and down two pants sizes as of this morning. I still can't believe it. I said to MH thank god for poshmark because I love Democracy ab solutions jeans that I love are $$$. I bought on poshmark in the end of August and they are getting baggy so I bought a size down today.

Check in today, down another 5. I am now officially past the 1/2 way mark, 5 months in on W. I legit thought I gained this month because I noticed I've been eating more since my last check in (3 weeks ago), but also I wore a pair of pants today that I haven't worn in a couple weeks and they definitely felt less tight. Weight loss is weird AF. I'm also kinda mad, because I bought a shirt from Ann Taylor in a size smaller than I used to buy, and the new shirt is already too big (which I didn't realize until I wore it all day and it was hanging on me). UGH.
I am going up to 1.7 in a week and a half. Pray for me that I tolerate it. My doc said that if I don't, we can go back down to the 1.
I just did my 4th shot of 2.5 zepbound. I’m wondering if I should have stayed there - I just got my next month filled at 5. I have lost 5 lbs in the first few weeks. Which really isn’t bad. My eating and exercise are in a good spot. I just hope the 5s don’t make me really sick.

A lot of insurance companies won't let you stay on 2.5mg after the first month, though I know some waived it when the shortage was going on. I did one month on 2.5 and then went to 5 with no issues. I did go back down to 2.5 during the shortage for 2 or 3 months with my insurances approval. I've been back on 5 since June and plan to stay on it as long as I am still losing.

Sadly my insurance doesn’t cover at all, so I can pick my own adventure a bit 😭😭😭

FI just started Mounjaro 2.5 for his diabetes. While he's never been unkind or unsympathetic, he didn't necessarily get what I meant when I said I felt crummy the day after injection or how I just really didn't want food. Now he gets it and there's lots of man complaining going on.

I've been on monjauro for several months with no issues. I'm on my third week of Dose level 10 and I've had horrible stomach issues. Any idea what I can do differently? I'm down about 30 pounds, so it's working, but the issues I've had the last few days have been terrible.
