These idiots are literally going to start a civil war over Trump.. They've been saying it for years.
And that ball-less limp dick turtle is just shuffling out of the way.
I always read that it's the federal dollars paid from states like NJ and NY that compensate for states that underpay like Mississippi and probably Kentucky.

How does that work?
They have a much higher tax base, and fed funds are based on need. Poor states have more need

I’m aware of that. I guess my question wasn’t clear. How would a civil war work if the poor states so desperately want to leave? They depend on the rich states for their budgets and economies.
Doesn’t anyone own a US history book? This doesn’t end well for their economies, they’ve been through this before! Rhetorical, I know.

I imagine there are many Red State gun nuts who presume they'll use their weapon stockpiles to subdue those namby-pamby liberals quickly. They're not thinking long term.

I don't think they actually want to leave the US, they just want total control over all of us.

They just want Trump in office, that's all they care about. They've been stockpiling their guns and are 'ready to take over the military'
And then Trump will never leave office and we're living in modern day Russia.
These people are not at all smart, but they do seem somewhat organized

history books are banned. Florida history curriculum now teaches the benefits of slavery. They learned useful job skills!
So short answer, no, they don't know history by intention. I've actually heard people say "when we lost at Franklin... But we'll come back." We. The treasonous south from 150+ years ago. I'm sure they think their guns would stand up to the us military. The delusion is strong

Remember when you were a kid and mad at your mom and you threatened that you were going to run away from home? And then one day, you packed a bag and some food and ran away to the way, way back of the backyard. And you strung your food up in the trees to ‘keep it away from bears’ and read comic books for a while. And ate up all your snacks, too. Remember that?
I think about how much the states get from the fed whenever TX does something dumb. A large chunk of TX economy is through the fed military. The entire state would crash and burn if that was removed.

Looks like McConnell gave his official endorsement to TFG:
“It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States,” McConnell said in a statement to The Washington Post. “It should come as no surprise that as nominee, he will have my support. During his presidency, we worked together to accomplish great things for the American people including tax reform that supercharged our economy and a generational change of our federal judiciary — most importantly, the Supreme Court. I look forward to the opportunity of switching from playing defense against the terrible policies the Biden administration has pursued to a sustained offense geared towards making a real difference in improving the lives of the American people.”

I think that Angela Chao’s drowning was an accident and that the criminal investigation has been overhyped due to the sheriff opening an investigation. Other more official authorities in TX have said there is nothing that leads them to think this was homicide.
