Yes, it seems like vision insurance doesn't even help cut down the cost at all.
My prescription is -8.00, and glasses are definitely more when you're blind. I buy my glasses online. I just got a new pair from Zenni, and they were under $50. I wear contacts during the day, so I'm not super picky about my glasses since I just wear them around the house for an hour or two in the evenings. But I'm pleased with them and loved not having to deal with getting them in person. I think some of the online retailers let you try on a few pairs that they send you, and then you can pick.
Honestly, I can't say I've had an experience like that while buying glasses.
Why did the sales person have your credit/debit card? That's confusing.
b/c she saw a mark.
in other words, i was overwhelmed and gave it to her before i put 2+2 together.
That sounds like a horrible experience, I’m sorry! Thankfully I’ve never had an experience like that. I typically go to Pearle Vision or something similar. Me and my partner both don’t like the lens from Warby Parker (they smudge and scratch more easily with several pairs we’ve gotten), so I’ve stuck with places like Pearle Vision.
And when you say you say she saw a mark, do you mean like she saw a mark on your skin? (Sorry I was confused by that part).
