Omg. Someone on a work call was trying to be down to earth and folksy and said something like "there's only ever been one person who walked the earth and was perfect; we all make mistakes."
1. Oh, do shut up. 2. Way to presume everyone is a believing Christian. 3. No, seriously, this is a call about compliance. Leave Jesus out of it. 4. Even if you want to bring JC into it, I note that regulations give 2 shits if you're divine. 5. I absolutely am going to raise this subtly with people in the HR world.
You should send that person the TikTok of that Caleb guy who does youth pastor impressions lol one is him ordering coffee and the girl messes it up and he brings up Jesus as someone who's never made a mistake.
Does anyone like doing surveys for money? Pinecone sent me a referral link if anyone would like to join, and I can PM you a link. They pay "300 points" for each survey, which translates to about $3, and they usually only take ~10 minutes (assuming you qualify to take the survey). You can redeem your points for merch in their catalog, or "cash" in the form of gift cards (I think they have a visa gift card option now).
I've been doing this for years, and they are legit. They used to send products to test (I got to test a bunch of fun snacks and drinks, and I can't say what because of NDAs, but I've seen several come to market). Sadly the sampling/product testing basically stopped several years ago (a few years pre-pandemic), but I think they might be ramping up again because I got a survey last week about a product test (I didn't qualify).
Full disclosure, if you'd like the link, and you sign up and do a survey, I get 100 points. It maxes out for me at 500 points, but it doesn't say I can't refer more than 5.
I would be interested in doing this! I do these occasionally (market research studies) in-person where I live, but its pretty rare because if you do one they don't give you another one for like 2 years or something.
Nonny , I'd like a link too!! I love giving my opinion about things lol
Sent!
LOL! I'm the same way. I feel like Pinecone pays well for the survey lengths. I do Crowdtap too, which also used to have some good product testing, but that also stopped and all the surveys pay peanuts now. They also take forever to send the gift cards.
The best is when I can get an at-home survey/interview from Fieldworks. They pay $125 gift cards for about 1.5 hours. I've done an in-office one one (for a topic I felt very strongly about) but it was a giant pain in the ass to get down there.
Nonny I used to do pinecone back in the day, and testing products was my FAVORITE.
They used to have some really good stuff to test. I can't remember the last time I actually got sent a product though. It's probably been at least 6 years.
Has any one had a grill/smoker delivered from Home Depot? They say we can pick the delivery time/date on the item page but then when we get to checkout, it doesn’t give us that option and just assigned us a date. It’s too big to fit in the car and we obviously need to be here to receive it. Customer service was no help and seemed very confused and we canceled the order but there has to be a way to schedule it?

Does anyone know if BloomChic is legit? I’m getting ads for them and some of the dresses are really pretty
I ordered 4 dresses from them and returned them all. They are legit, but the dresses fit weird. Not at all like the pictures!
I liked the 2 things I ordered from there. They didn't seem super high quality, but on par with fast fashion that you'd get from Amazon, but with more unique stuff IMO.
I've been having heart palpitations and an elevated and erratic HR for a little over the past week, and tomorrow I'm going in to get a 72 hour Holter monitor stuck to me.
I absolutely hate even having bandaids stuck to me, so I think I'm going to be super annoyed for a few days.
They do claim I can take a shower though, as long as I keep my back to the spray, which is good, because I'm also due to start my period tomorrow or Wednesday and I'd be absolutely miserable menstruating and unable to shower.
Our pedi only allows you to make physical appointments 3 months out. I had a note in my planner to call today for a July appointment. At 8:30 I remembered but it was too early to call. They I got doing things and didn't call until after their lunch hour. Phew! I still got a July appointment. It's like winning the lottery.
If I couldn't get one, I would have had to wait until May 1 to call.
That is strange and super annoying!
I think they have too many patients and not enough doctors, but it's been that way for over 14 years. I can always get a sick visit though and DS1 has 2 broken ribs and they've been really good about getting him in to be checked. I have always been happy with the care. It is stressful every year. Especially since the kids do sports and you have to have a physical form on file that is less than a year old at the start of the season. But we're good until July 2025.
I'm fantasizing about a future trip now that we're done with spring break. For people who have travelled to the UK/Europe with kids, are all of the rooms double occupancy? We have 2 kids so I'm trying to figure out if we HAVE to book two rooms.
We just got back from Europe and stayed in “family rooms”. It was definitely more expensive and we had to stay at bigger hotels, but the alternative would have been booking 2 rooms and each staying with a kid which would not have been enjoyable.
The weather guys are starting to roll up their shirtsleeves, which, as a weather geek I can confirm means that there has already been one tornado-warned storm in our area tonight. Supposed to be round two in a few hours.
ETA: I don't get really worried until they start to eat and drink on air.

Stay safe! My mom & sister in west county are in their basements and sending me updates 😬
circa1978 we’re in St Charles and just had a nasty pocket of heavy rain, heavy wind, and quarter-sized hail. But the wind was blowing it all to the side of the house and at the windows. It was soooo loud!
Our trash can ended up a few doors over but otherwise everything seems fine. Next batch seems like it's lining up for around 11 so I hope it burns itself out before really late so everyone gets some sleep. It's looking concerning for Ohio tomorrow.

I’ve ordered a few dresses. One I love and always get compliments when I wear it. Every other one has fit weird and was not flatting so I sent them back.
It all comes from China. It’s legit though, my items always arrive pretty quickly and nothing suspicious on my CC. Quality is just okay.

It is, but the sizing is weird. Some things are way too big, some are way to small, and some of the fabrics are terrible. I just sent back an entire package of items, none of them worked. The items also tend to shrink really bad in the wash. I won't buy from them again. Praise be that they have a good return policy.
