I must be living in a happy sheltered bubble because I had no idea these explicit hate views were so formalized in the party. Disgusting.
I don't consider myself in a bubble when knowing what awful hate is out there, and I was still surprised at the source. Usually their official line is more euphemistic and less vitriolic, and they leave that to the usual hateful individuals to say what they really mean.

Exactly. I know there have been euphemisms everywhere or hate from specific politicians but I feel crazy for not knowing how explicitly the official state party would say to burn the flags and that "they're all groomers". It has seemed like that was an extremist view that the party here would be vague on and I didn'trealize they were like that last year too.
CO Republicans used to be more moderate. In 2016 they refused to endorse Trump. Since then many of them that were against Trump have been forced out of the party, much like what is happening nationally. As such, most of CO is blue where we used to be purple. All that's left of the party are the zealots and extremists. So then this happens.

Agree with Pixy.
Florida and Texas GOP party charters have been explicitly anti-women and anti-LGBTQ+ since 2016.
Look at Project 2025.
The extremists are so loud that a family member of mine who has been a registered republican his whole life balked at being called a "conservative" the other day. He is VERY conservative, traditionally speaking. But conservatism has become so extreme he even feels embarrassed to associate with them.
