Lately, when bits and pieces of this case resurface, I wonder what would have happened to Karen Read if she stayed home and waited for a call about her boyfriend instead of going out looking for him and putting herself at the scene when the body was found.
I wonder if investigators would have even thought to question her.
Civil case win for Karen Read today - the judge ruled that they'll delay any depositions and testimony for KR in the civil case brought by Paul and Peg O'Keefe until after the conclusion of the criminal case. But that others CAN be deposed and/or testify, if I understand it correctly. So that means that the KR team could request cell phone records for Alberts, McCabes, Higgins... I wonder if they get the info they want, if they will be able to use it in the criminal trial...

You would think that would have been important information for the investigators … in the original investigation?

Isn't that the point? The original investigators didn't investigate? They set their sites on Karen immediately and didn't consider any other options. They never went in the Albert's home that morning to look around, they only officially questioned Jen McCabe even though other witnesses were sitting in the same room. They only talked to some (like Colin, the nephew) years later
