One of the Minnesota delegates is an 18 year old from my hometown and it makes me so happy. It's such a conservative town and from the pictures I've seen she seems so happy to be there.
I'm impressed by the organizers. They had a month (?) to reformat the entire convention, and they're killing it.
I saw a brief interview with one of the organizers said something to the effect of “we’ve been working hard on building this plane for about 2 years. Not much changed except we got a new pilot.” It reminded me that this is so much bigger than who is at the top of the ticket. I can only imagine after the initial “OMG! This could be a disaster!” they’ve been riding on the high of hope and joy the last several weeks.

pixy0stix , somebody mentioned under one of the Youtube feeds that it wasn't very crowded and how that showed the interest in Democrats. Clearly that bot/person only saw the beginning when people were out of their seats and talking in groups. Idiots.
I think it shows a healthy party that there are delegates that feel confident enough to vote "present".
I wondered if those were delegates that were locked in for Biden as opposed to delegates at large and therefore not free to change their vote to Harris? I’m off to go google it. I’ll report back.
‘ETA ok, I just read a few quick articles and several of the delegates who voted “present” were free to vote for anyone but wanted to send a message that the Harris team would have to earn their votes with a stronger stance on a peace solution involving Palestinian autonomy.
I only caught the end of Michelle, and the beginning of Barack, but daaamn Michelle is baaaad a$$. I truly felt like she was giving TFG a big, direct FU. She's in amazing shape and really held her own, like I'd vote for her for President. I kind of wish they had the Obama's on toward the end because their energy was incredible. You can tell they're speaking from a place of true support and passion, they want her to win. I should go back and listen/watch the whole thing because it kept me up well past my bedtime last night.

Look at how many artists/songwriters had to sign off to be used!
I'm watching as we speak (at NJ right now and low key getting a crush on their governor: "I'm governor Phil Murphy. We're from Jersey, baby, and you're not." LOL) and I'm thinking, "What on earth did all this music cost?!"
I really want to see clips of the Repubs votes to see how theirs went down for comparison. But I also do not want to touch that with a 10 foot pole.

The @kamalahq account has a great comparison of the Georgia delegates vote.

It’s really gobsmacking to see the difference in energy.

I also want to have drinks with the Obama's, lol.
I stayed up for it. It's worth it. (but this morning hurt!)
I didn't see all of it, but Obama's speech.... mimicking the accordion hands!! LOL. And I loved his "Do not boo! Vote!". YES!!!!!!
I saw a comment on Threads, I think, where someone said that no one will ever see Trump doing his accordion hands ever again without also thinking of Obama’s dick joke. 🤣

If you are at all on TikTok, there are a TON of videos comparing the start of both roll calls for the RNC and DNC... one felt like funeral.
