I’m having a hard time hearing from the republicans who are voting for Kamala, who are to blame for putting that man in the White House in the first place. Applause for finally realizing how wrong you were? I guess.

I like that they're bringing on these former staffers. It shows that it's actually okay to make the shift. People can indeed leave the cult, and the more Democrats can embrace them, the better off we all are.
The MAGAts have found a community they feel belonging in. We have to be okay with some of them figuring it out and make space for them.
He wasn’t as sharp, but you could see the old Clinton every now and then with his zingers. For those old enough, made you remember the skill he had back in the day.
I loved Hakeem Jeffries, Shapiro is not afraid of the mic lol. And I’m ok seeing republicans there. We can’t do this alone, and for those still not willing to commit, being convinced by one of their own does way more than being convinced by the team they were always against anyway.
I’m behind but I just watched Doug Emhoff’s speech including the video introduction his son made and OMG tears. He’s such an amazing, supportive spouse. What a wonderful role model and contrast to the toxic masculinity of the MAGATs.

I agree. We have to accept that people *can* change. They can see that they made some choices and said/did things that hurt people and then change for the good. But if they know they’ll be met with vitriol on the other side, it’s much easier for people to stick with what they’ve always been told. I think Pres Obama’s speech really hit on that last night.
I actually really wish they’d have a Republican come and speak and basically say, “I’m an old school Republican and still value the traditional Republican policies, but in 2024, I’m putting principles and country over party and voting for Kamala.
As far as saying her name, I used to get it mixed up on which was right and which was wrong until Minocqua Brewing Company came out with a beer that is “,la”. And now almost every time I say her name, I see “,la” in my head. (BTW, MBC is a solid blue small business making some big waves in Northern Wisconsin, a VERY red area! Most of their beers are politically themed, and they have good t-shirts.)
So many fantastic speakers…Hakeem, Josh, Wes, Pete and they have…. JD the weird.
And the talented women? Jasmine, Angela Alsobrooks, Dana Nessel, Mallory McMorrow….so many. Holy shit. If we don’t fuck this up, the GQP gonna find out.
Absolutely amazing! That was so so good. The family, all of them crying, @@@@@ his son pointing at him saying “that’s my dad”,@@@ the football lingo, everything!
I’ve been blown away by how much emotion I’ve had watching this whole week. A whole rollercoaster of emotions but in the end just fucking pumped!!! Let’s get that win!!
I found out that CNN replays the DNC in the wee hours of the morning when I’m on my first insomnia wake up. So I’m laying here at 4:23 in the morning full on ugly crying watching Gus Walz say “that’s my dad.”
