Kerasilk hair smoothing treatment

My stylist started offering this recently, marketing it as a formaldehyde-free alternative to the Brazilian Blowout or Japanese straightening. I decide to splurge and try it on Monday.

I just washed it and am letting it airdry without any product to see the results. But since last night the smell is getting to me, even during and after washing. It's like stale sweat mixed with vehicle exhaust.

Anyone else run into this? Does it fade quickly or do I need to go out and buy hair fragrance spray or something?

I’ve done keratin treatments in the past and if it’s the same thing it smelled a little right after as you have to leave it and not wash it or do anything for a couple of days afterwards. I think it’s because they put the stuff in, then straighten it on high heat settings and then it just sits for 48 hours. After I washed it, everything seemed normal.

I had a keratin treatment done earlier this summer and I don't recall any smells. I've done it multiple times in the past and don't recall smells afterwards.

It was worst when wet, I might sleep with it in a bonnet tonight. My stylist said the smell should fade after a few washes.
