I bought an electric car over the weekend and I am overwhelmed with the options. I was car shopping for months and months and now I feel like I have decision paralysis about this charger.
We have the ChargePoint Home Flex. There are less expensive options out there, but I was familiar with ChargePoint level 2s from work so I just went with it.

This is literally the one that I have in my Amazon cart right now. Have you been happy with it? Any issues?

No issues. We've only had it for 2 months, but I've had them in commercial use at work for much longer with no issues.

My dh just bought a Tesla, and we're having a Nema 1450 installed in the garage (waiting on the electrician to schedule still though). I know nothing about this, but dh did a lot of research apparently.
lavenderblue also as a bonus, it was on the approved list for my power company's EV charger rebate. So check with your power company to see what rebates they offer and which chargers qualify. We received $500 back on the charger and install.

Second the suggestion to check with your energy company. I have a JuiceBox from Costco that is over 2 years old. It hasn’t given us any problems that weren’t user error!
We purchased a Chevy Bolt in spring 2019 and installed a chargepoint charger in Dec 2019. DH had enough reward points from somewhere(it may have actually been Chevy) and redeemed them for the charger. Our BIL(DH’s sister’s husband) is extremely handy and knows electrical stuff. They were here for an extended holiday visit and he installed it(DH supposedly helped). They first had to install a small panel since our electric box panel was nearly full.
We haven’t had a single issue with our Chargepoint.

Thanks all. I ended up purchasing the Charge Point. Luckily I already have a sub panel in my garage because it use to be exH workshop. I actually need to check because I think there might already be the right kind of plug installed in there from his heavy power tools.
Thanks also for the suggestions to look in to rebates. So far I've applied for one rebate through my electric company and then my state also offers a grant program and I'm in the process of applying for that as well.
We have a Charge point level 2 charger. The first one broke within warranty so we got it replaced for free. They aren't supposed to break so it shouldn't happen again. Other than that we've been super pleased with it. Both our cars are EV and our city has very few community chargers so we needed one in our garage. I do say needed because we spent a month without a working charger and couldn't get the Bolt charged while it took a very long time to charge our Tesla. They are our only options for transportation in our very unwalkable city with a horrible bus system.
I ended up just getting a 240v outlet installed instead and using the charger that came with my car (nissan leaf) it has been fine, I charge at home overnight and it always is enough because I have enough time overnight I did look into a bunch that qualified for the rebate but wanted to wait to see if we needed it
