I did use them last year for my FIL. We didn't end up placing him in assisted living but he had a lot of needs and were helpful in sorting through local options who could meet the needs or not. They also arranged visits for us at facilities.

If your aunt has had a stroke, though, she may need a higher level of care than assisted living. That was ultimately the case for my FIL and, as far as I know, APFM doesn't work with skilled nursing facilities/nursing homes.
