Where do you put your purse/daily bag?

For some reason this drives me nuts. I’m a hyper organized person but cannot figure out a good place to leave my bag each day. I don’t want to bring it upstairs to the bedroom, we don’t have a hall/coat closet (1905 house) I don’t want to hang it on the coat rack (not good for the handles). I tend to put it on the window seat in our dining room but it bugs me there. I understand this is the stupidest problem. Where does everyone else put their purse?

I place it on the floor by the coats.

On hooks just inside the door. If it comes any further into the house, I end up forgetting where I put it.

The strap is fabric though so I don't have to worry about the hook damaging it.

We have hooks in our laundry room that I use. I don't have super nice bags, so the handle thing isn't an issue for me. I don't like leaving them on the floor due to kids and pets.

I hang mine on the coat rack. Is your coat rack free standing or wall mounted? If the latter, could you put a shelf above or a small table below it?

H hung a wall mounted coat rack in the entry way from the garage/laundry room. I hang my purse there but we also have a bench with shoe storage right under the coat rack which I could set it on. DS(8) sets his backpack there.

We have a dinky coat closet by our front door (on the opposite side of the house from the garage entry way) so we put heavy winter coats there and trade with light coats/sweatshirts as the seasons change because we can't fit more than those 3-5 coats in the aforementioned dinky closet at a time.

We have a wetbar/set of cabinets that are right in front of the garage door. That is where all my crap goes, much to my husband's chagrin, lol.

I set my work bag and smaller weekend purse on our dining room table. My sunglasses and keys go beside it.

I hang it on a dining room chair, and I hate it also. I used to hang it on a coat hook in the hallway, but the hooks kept falling out of the wall probably because we put too much on them lol, so I stopped hanging my purse on them.

On the kitchen counter. It’s tucked in a corner out of the way.

Hanging on a hook in my bedroom (shares the hook with my backpack and a rarely used tote bag).

I don't leave the house every day these days, and I don't want it in small coat closet, or otherwise floating around the house.

We have a bench in our entryway and I put it there. If someone is coming over, I move it to our bedroom.

We have a shelf in our coat closet where it usually goes. We also have a side table in our living room where I leave it a lot, and it drives H insane.

We have a coat rack and shoe bench (all in one thing) in our mudroom/laundry room as soon as you come in from the garage. My purse had a fabric strap so I hang it. We set backpacks on the bench and also have a small thing where we keep gloves, etc. I could sit it either place if hanging were not an option.

I have a hook in our coat closet, but that only happens when guests are over.

It generally lives on the back of our dining room chair.

I enter through a door in the laundry room. We have a set of cabinets there, so either on the counter or if I want it out of sight, inside a cabinet.

We don't have an attached garage so the main entrance is the only way in.

I always bring mine up to my bedroom closet. I often swap out sunglasses or even switch up my bags depending on what I'm doing that day.

This is interesting to me, ha! I need something from in my purse regularly so I just put it next to me on the couch. We are never very separated.

This is on my wall in between my kitchen and living room (open concept) and I have a bench with storage directly under it. Everyone’s book bags, lunchboxes and my bag are hung there.

I hang mine on my pantry's door handle. Also don't like this but our pantry is near the door to the garage so that's why it's there.

We've used hooks for bags/backpacks before but they are always too heavy.
