Polaroid camera with film, a book light (although maybe this is a bad idea since I caught her reading after bedtime recently), a nice pickleball paddle and bag, soft pjs are always a win.
I got her a couple beauty items for her bday and she's ok with them but not really into that scene yet.
I broke our Nintendo Switch game card holder so I can't buy them physical games anymore, just digital.
She wants the entire Keeper of the Lost Cities series but gonna put that on the list for the grandparents to buy. I just redid her room on a whim.
If they offer culinary center classes over winter break I might gift those.
DS is 12, and some things on his list are some items for scouts (mostly nicer stuff than he currently has for camping), sports stuff, new Switch controller and games, and a new board game or two. He’s also been complaining his bike is too small, but we’ll probably wait until his birthday in June to replace it as I don’t think the bike is too small yet, but may be by then.
We’ll also probs let get him a new NFL hooded sweatshirt, and may look at tickets to a college basketball game. He’d love NFL tickets, but I’m not going to likely do that.
This thread made me go look at our local symphony, and they are doing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in concert in January. He would love that, so may look at that.
My kid loves drawing and art. This weekend I remembered a local art center we've been meaning to check out. I signed her up for an acrylic pour class in early October. If it's cool, I will likely add a membership and GCs there to her list.
Does anyone have any ideas for a good teen-friendly gift that uses meaningful photos?
I have some great professional shots of DD riding her horse. I could just put a couple in a collage frame, but if anyone has a more interesting idea, please share!
Last year I saw these projection bracelets advertised (Example: wearfelicity.com/products/personalized-circle-photo-bracelet) but they are all from websites I hadn't heard of, and I really wasn't sure about quality or how hard it is to see the photo inside. They range from like $5 on amazon to $50+, but I'm not sure if you actually get any better quality at the higher price points. If anyone has one of these, or another photo gift, that they'd recommend, I'd love to hear about it.

When my brother died, DS2 was distraught. One of his friend's sisters had recently passed away and the friend had a necklace with a picture of her from that site. My son asked if he could get one of his uncle. I got it for him and he wore it for about a year. It's not fine jewelry, but it lasted while he wanted to wear it.

DD is 12, turning 13 in January.
She currently enjoys: 3D printing pen (ebbs and flows, but when she is using it, she uses it a lot); polaroid camera; iPad; clay with cut outs, gold foil, and all the extra tools
I'm really struggling because I usually have a long list by now. Until she gets one, a phone is at the top of her list. We're thinking maybe birthday in January or shortly after though. Other ideas:
Barefoot Dreams blanket Jewelry holder for her earrings and necklaces Fidget ring Latest Inheritance Games book Something to do with our dog who she adores. Maybe a nose-print necklace? We usually like to do an experience, but all the concerts she would be into are so freaking expensive now. Maybe more pottery wheel classes?
