I know his lawyers have a duty to defend him, but HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS:

At some point I would think the attorney has an ethical obligation to advise his* client, look dude, it's time to say you fucked up and beg for mercy, it'll go better for you.

*it could be her client, I just can't imagine a woman saying the quoted word salad with an even straight-ish face.

So I've sat through many of the full scope polygraphs CIA has to take, you have to be a sociopath to not fail a polygraph when the lifestyle questions are covered if you are doing this.

Fascinating. I know someone who has passed a (lifestyle based, but legally motivated) polygraph basically (according to him) by reading a book and being able to regulate his breathing, pulse, etc. For sure a sociopath outside of the polygraph (armchair diagnosis).

We no longer associate for a *variety* of reasons, but interesting.

There's a reason they're inadmissable. It's a bunch of junk science used as "proof" of whatever. You can get false spikes by hurting yourself when answering a mundane thing and false even when focusing on controlling breathing. I remember reading about this in the early 90s, so it's always shocking that decades later people still believe them.
