I had my first babysitting gig last night. It went well. $25/hour for 2 kids for 4.5 hours. I told that couple to let their friends know. I've also put myself on our local neighborhood FB page for house sitting and waiting for the plumber, cable repair person, etc.

Getting paid to wait for the repair people is such a good idea! Easy for people you house sit for anyway and you can be there at a reliable time.

IDK how some people do it if they don’t have flexible jobs or WFH! I was about to leave this morning and the plumber showed up an hour early as I was about to leave and was blocking the driveway (which I guess is better than being late to the window he gave 🤷‍♀️). DH had just left so I had to call him back, go take care of an errand, then DH left when I got back and I found out I need to go into the office for a meeting at noon. DH may have to come back and relieve me if they are still here!
