Everyone is talking about Nobody Wants This, but I just don’t like Kristen Bell. I don’t know why, but I find just annoying and not a great actress. Jennifer Garner is in the same category. I hated Yes Day with the fire of a thousand suns.
Speaking of doctors I got a call this morning that they needed to change E’s December HPV dose due to office closures at the holidays. I specifically made it during the break because kid shit, but now it’s in January.
We drove to the beach this morning and saw a ton of Harris/Walz signs in what is a typical red area. It gives me hope.
I live in the land of subdivisions that don't allow signs, but I finally saw a Harris Walz sign at a home I pass on the way to work.
]In case you don’t know, the new Joker movie is a musical.
The media on this is ridiculous
What?!?! That is unhinged.
I think it's the comic book people. I'm so sick of "why does everything have to be turned in to a musical?" because musicals are awesome you dip-sh!ts. Do you understand up until what the 60's, 70's there were a lot of musical movies.
ssmjlm, I have "No One Wants This" on my watch list, but feel the same about KB and JG. We saw a commerical last night and I LOOOOOVE Adam Broady, but I feel like KB will ruin it somehow. I may start a new thread as I need some new shows to watch when DH is working.

Today has been the second most Monday Friday ever. I'm so unmotivated even though I have a bunch of stuff I need to do now that it's slowed down.
Last Friday I literally spent 6 hours on the phone between my dad's insurance, Medicare and trying to work with SS. I need to do some updates today but my one contact at insurance won't call me back. Honestly I throw my hands up because I don't have the time for it.
On a more positive note apparently Thomas (Ian) Nichols from American Pie and Rookie of the Year is in an (emo) band and they're pretty awesome. Both of those movies were such a big part of my life, esp American Pie. My friends and I watched that on the night of HS graduation, and I watch it pretty much any time something big is coming up in life, although it makes me cringe now.

I got the fucking ticket for Oasis at the Rose Bowl, holy shit did that fucking tour sell out fast. I would have preferred UK followed by NY but 3rd choice is fine at least I have 1 fucking ticket in hand. And it's a great fucking seat tbf so 🎉.
About 2 years ago I was really happy about my egg salad sandwich for lunch.
11 years ago, I realized that the students who were entering my university were old enough to be my kids. So that was REALLY uplifting to hear this morning because clearly that situation hasn't improved.
It wasn't a feeling old post it was more like I remember being happy 2 years ago I miss that day.

I’m waiting for my sister to finish putting on makeup before we leave for dinner to see OOT family and she was taking forever and her attitude was horrendous.
So I asked her if she could spackle on a happy face.
She was not amused. But it’s kind of hilarious, right?

OMG YES! She has an extremely punchable face!
And she’s supposed to be in LA and doesn’t know basic words like “Shalom”?
AND if you were going to meet Jewish parents, why not ummmm, go to a kosher bakery? Infuriating.

I tried one of those TikTok recipes for an entire cucumber. It was the California roll one where you add the cucumber slices, avocado, imitation crab, Kewpie mayo, soy sauce, cream cheese, and if you want, you can add MSG, furikake seasoning, sesame seeds, etc. It was SO good you guys. I love California rolls so this was right up my alley. You can also put the mixture on seaweed and it's amazing. It's a tad heavy with the avocado, Kewpie, and cream cheese, but it's damn tasty.

Add me to the insurance woes. X has his shoulder surgery on the 22nd, (stemming from being attacked by a teenager x did not previously know.) we are responsible for giving the facility nearly $6000 before the surgery which sent me into a panic spiral. They are kind enough, ahem, to accept half down and then bill us for the other half.
We met with detectives on Tuesday, and X had to pick the boy out of a mug shot line up. Just blows my Mind that this kid already has mug shots on file. He can’t be more than 16 but he has had similar offenses at least three times from what we’re told and those times he had legit weapons. Sigh. I don’t want to victim blame bc being goofy and weird shouldn’t get you attacked but if x had just listened to me none of this would have happened.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
I just started my reoccurring 11am meeting and sat on it for 10 minutes wondering where everyone was. Oh look Ruby, you moved it to 1pm.
And yes, I have a reoccurring *Friday* meeting. When we moved the time, we had a discussion regarding leaving it on Friday, and the consensus was people liked it on Friday because it gave them a sense of accomplishment. And it also involves a couple lab guys who work from home on Fridays, but most days they are physically testing things. So again, something concrete to do from home.
My friend is CMO of a big company and they just got bought out. New boss likes to schedule MULTIPLE meetings on Fridays and one at like 2-4 PM.
And he will reschedule them almost ever week, then will be like out golfing or something. It's the most ridiculous thing ever.

I’d like to add to my earlier post about dog woes what I came home to today. A few days ago I set up a new water bowl for them due to my lab’s drinking style which is dunking his entire snout into the bowl, drinking heartily, and then leaving about a 5 foot trail of water drool away from the bowl. So I bought one of the bowls where they just drink from the top and can’t “dunk”. It seemed good for a couple of days. But today the bowl must have been low enough and light enough that one of them could start dragging it around. So I came home to a puddle of water and the bowl parts strewn around the living room. The seal that you put around the bowl to keep the floating piece in place was all chewed up.
It does still work without that ring, but apparently I can’t let the bowl get too low on water or they will start dragging it around. I swear to God no matter what I do to try to make living with these dogs easier they just destroy it. Sometimes I don’t know how much longer I can do this. Obviously they need better training, but their daycare alone is putting me into debt and I am so short on patience with them even though I love them. I can’t believe this could go on for another 12-14 years.
but if x had just listened to me none of this would have happened.
Ugh I'm sorry that sounds so stressful. My oldest is only 6, but nothing send me more then me specifically saying not to do something and then the consequence of their actions happening. I can't imagine when it is actually "real" consequences (vs skinned knees and such). I hope it works out for you and X! It's so tough

Leeham Rimes How is X dealing with all this? Poor kiddo, I cannot imagine how scary that was. I was around 10 years old home alone when someone broke into our house and while traumatic at any age, I do think there is an extra layer there when things like that happen so young. I wish my parents had put me in therapy, but it was the 80s and it was more a pat on the head and koko.

Do they do these shenanigans while you are at work? If so, time to start shutting them up while you are gone.

A lot of it’s while I’m home (like the wrestling/near furniture destruction). When I leave, I’m pretty careful to put away anything they might grab so if they’ve gotten it, it’s my fault for leaving it in reach. The upstairs is gated so they’re restricted to downstairs. They sleep with me at night so no trouble there, except that one of them chewed up a brand new sheet somehow while I was sleeping? I just never thought about them vandalizing the new water bowl in my absence. 🙄🙄

There’s a SM trend with his pic side by side with Pacey, and it’s crazy how much more attractive they are in their 40s than 20 years ago (and they were hot then too!).

I can't stand Kristen Bell as a real person. Any interview she gives makes me immediately want to punch her and turn off the TV. But luckily for me, I don't mind watching her in most things and find her to be mostly enjoyable in this show (and re-watch Veronica Mars every few years too).
But yeah, the prosciutto is pork? really? thing was the worst scene in the show for me.

If they are crate trained, I would start crating them when you leave. If they aren't, I would work on crate training.
I also strongly recommend trying to find the funds for a trainer, it will be worth it in the long run.
