This is where I live. We are considered pretty pivotal to PA (and therefore the election) and have been called "the swingiest county in the swingiest state" in a Politico article. 

Yesterday was the last day for in demand voting, and I did hear that the line was about 2.5 hours at the courthouse. But only trolls on twitter who don't live here are claiming that it was anything other than a normal (albeit long) line. 

I am really, really concerned about what will happen if MAGAs lose but won't concede.

I'm worried about violence in general during/after the election, but I'm not worried about whether he'll "concede." He didn't concede last time and it didn't stop us from running him out of office. And this time around, we're better prepared for the possibility that his cult will try and hurt people.

My thought exactly. There is some writing on the wall there in PA that's causing the Trump campaign to panic.

Maybe don’t insult POCs at a NYC rally and act surprised when you go to a city in PA next with a large population of Puerto Rican voters and realize you have people protesting you. @ They had to cancel school for the 3rd largest school district of PA because his visit was disruptive. He’s reminding people his presidency will be chaos again.

I was lurking to see if this was being discussed. I actually takes this as a great sign his internals for PA are miserable. Also, all these screeching people have no idea how “early voting” works in PA. Also, just generally speaking, I’m guessing this was in the borough? Which is decidedly not MAGA. Purple AT BEST in that are.

Yeah, in the borough. There was someone on twitter showing a video of the line, and claiming that people were being told to get out of line and come back later. There is absolutely no truth to this, but it took off on social media.

Last week, there was a fake video circulating claiming that mail in ballots voting for Trump were being destroyed in Bucks County. It was confirmed that the video was a deep fake generated in Russia. 

I'm not sure why they are targeting Bucks County so specifically, but I'm assuming it is because we are SO purple and could plausibly go either way in the election-- they are trying to do everything they can to make it seem like fraud when they lose.

It's the only way the GOP has been able to win in the last few years. Gerrymander the districts, cheat the system, and then lie like hell about conspiracy theories to sow distrust. They are such pieces of shit.

A handful of funny comments like, "in the toilet," and "wait a week and check the dumpsters." But wayyyyy too many "likes" and "hearts" to the comment. Gross.

As an update on this, the county has extended in person mail-in ballot applications through Friday.

PA does not offer early voting; the point of contention here is that yesterday was the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot. You can do that in person, through what is called "on demand" voting-- you submit your application in person at the courthouse, they review and give you your ballot while you wait. You can fill it out there and hand it back to them, or take it home and return it to a drop box.

H works with a lot of Trumpers. They are apparently all in on this conspiracy, despite not actually understanding how it was supposed to work.

They also apparently discovered that one of them applied for a mail in ballot through a scam website. H was like "and this guy is going to claim he wasn't allowed to vote, when really he just doesn't understand how the internet works and didn't check that he was on a real site."

Extending the mail in ballot request date helps everyone so whatever. I just cannot with the irony that these assholes spent four years bitching about the MI ballots being a scam in PA only to be the biggest whiners of all when they can’t follow directions when they try to do it.

I heard Trump cancelled his PSU/OS appearance this weekend in Happy Valley. Perhaps another clue PA might be lost for him.

I had to fact check myself while talking to someone the other day and I can’t remember if I post this fact here or not. Democrats have won every popular vote since 1992 except for 2004.

You know, they could change their policies to attract more moderate voters, but instead R’s decided to go the opposite direction for billionaire money and religious extremism!

So, as I mentioned in another thread, I try to limit my consumption of panic inducing information. Which means I’m not following everything supper closely. I do get a lot of stuff from my nephew, who straddles GenZ and Millennial, so his sources are quite different than mine. That said, he sent me this yesterday.
