Update: I’m on my second load of laundry, my couch seems to be completely free of the golden retriever fur, my cast iron pan is in the oven baking/seasoning, and I’m about to have the cleanest stovetop in the las vegas valley.

Election mania is working for me today.
I wish being anxious worked like that for me. I keep catching myself staring blankly into the void and/or facebook instead of getting done the piles of shit that I HAVE TO GET DONE for work today. It's gonna be a long day.
Not related to the election, but somewhat stress inducing - the weather people in CO are freaking out about this next storm we have moving in because they (all of them) can't predict what it's going to do. Incredibly high uncertainty for just about everything.

SAME. I'm eating and scrolling. And getting a less than usual amount of work done.
I had interviews this morning and an afternoon meeting which I guess is good for distraction. I really just want to fast foward to watching returns tonight.
I was the hundredth person to vote in my polling place today. Their previous record was 88. I voted at noon so there is tons of time left in the day. I was already pessimistic about today but this just put me over the edge. My area is so very, very red. So they aren't staying home like I had hoped.

I’m still hoping that the most motivated and eager to vote Republicans are those voting for Kamala (or against Trump). The split ticket voting will be a fascinating analysis.

I’ve been stress cleaning for days. There is no more laundry to do. My car is immaculate and the baseboards are dust free. We’re going to do some meal prep. A former boss texted me out of the blue today that he saw a rainbow on his way to work this morning and he took that as a good sign. I really miss that guy.

We have a staff development day today but I used a flex day because I knew if I went in, I would be doing this instead. My anxiety can be more useful at home. 🫠

Fellow golden owner here. And I did the same this afternoon.
How long does it take between dropping my ballot in a ballot box in California and having its status update online? I dropped it in a ballot box early yesterday morning and I am impatient to see it updated

Over 1/3 of our team called off today and are probably going be gone tomorrow. I already have the confirmation that my ballot was received and counted, now I stress eat for the next 24 hours.

Mine took 6 days.
RivCo - husband dropped them off on Friday and we had the email Tuesday (10/29) that they were received and counted.

I bought him a shirt at target in hopes of containing it but lololol. He’s already on the couch taking a nap.

I voted early last Saturday and there was a rainbow near the polling location. I hope that was a good sign. Today I have stress shopped - a grey alpaca sweater and some Christmas decorations.
My employer's emergency operations center has sent out a message about the risk for civil unrest. Today, along with notable dates in the next couple months.

Someone popped a Harris door hanger and reminder to vote on my porch at 4pm. You'd think they would see the four signs in my yard for Dem candidates and not waste time at my house, but maybe they saw them and wanted to make sure I voted?
Either way, good for them for using every last minute to GOTV.
