It seems as though we have elected an anti-trans person to our school board. Current results look like it was based not on this, but on the order in which they appeared on the ballot because anti-trans person #1 campaigned alongside anti-trans person #2 for a short-term board seat, and the person in the first position of both races is who is winning.

My only hope is that she is a lone wolf on the board and won’t be able to make any significant change.

The Mom for Liberty candidate in my district lost by 62 votes. Which I find was too close for comfort. Especially in my district.

I'm curious about this, too. Mine was received Oct 15 (I can scan and email), but it doesn't say counted. It's 100% mail-in, so there shouldn't be delays. County clerk also replied to my email confirming receipt but did not answer if my scanning was good enough. Clatsop cty, OR, so my vote does nothing to affect the outcome.

yeah I was gonna mention that but it seems like it won't matter.

although there's some ballots in PA that haven't been counted or were rejected and people are just now finding out. I am only seeing it on X though so take that with however much salt. I don't want to stoke conspiracy theories or get my hopes up again.

As much as i am disappointed the outcome, it's not this. The ballots in PA that people are posting about say "returned" as in it was returned to the election bureau, not the voter. Poor phrasing but nothing more than that

It’s still unknown how this will be handled. Many countries bar entry for felonies unless you get a waiver.

My husband is technically a felon (he’s been in recovery from addiction for fifteen years and his conviction was substance-related) and we avoid flying through Canada because they are VERY strict about letting felons in, even just to connect to other flights. It is making me feel some sort of way that my husband can’t go to Canada because he did drugs a long time ago but that asshole can jet around the world.

stuffandthings, it’s ridiculous. Additionally Canada views misdemeanor DUIs as felonies. So that’s a large amount of people that can’t go….but Trump can.

This is going around TikTok as well. People are looking at the final numbers and it just….doesn’t add up. Places that have never been red or not for decades suddenly flipped and blue votes were low. There’s speculation that Elon/russia hacked the results and removed blue votes. Also, notice how fast the results came in compared to 2020? How did they call it for Trump so early but took until Saturday to call it for Biden? I’m totally putting on my tinfoil hat but I think it’s a possibility that we didn’t actually have a fair election.

Please, let’s not do this. Leave the delusional conspiracies to the right-wing nuts. There is zero evidence - just like in 2020 - that there was any large-scale fraud (or fraud at all). Votes came in quicker in part because areas where they were super slow last time took steps to improve the counting process. The move to Trump was across almost all demographics, across the entire country. It’s painful, but that’s reality. Democrats need to take a long hard look and how/why they aren’t connecting with a majority of voters. Indulging in conspiracy theories that we actually did win is incredibly counterproductive.

You’re right. I’m just so surprised at the shift, especially in my blue state and neighboring blue state that flipped red. I’ve accepted Trump was elected, I was just shocked when it happened so fast Tuesday night. It felt like an alternate reality on Wednesday waking up to that news. But we will move forward and we’ve got work to do for 2026 midterms.

I am not even suggesting some kind of conspiracy, but I don’t think my vote was counted. I voted early in person and when I look up my record on the county BOE website, it says I did not vote. My husband voted on Election Day and the BOE website says he voted. I contacted them and they said “too soon, not every vote has been counted.” I am not saying that this indicates some kind of foul play, or that this happened to literally anyone else but me, but I’m not going to sit back and shrug my shoulders about it until I get an answer.

I have heard this from other people as well. I would have assumed at this point all the in person would be couldn’t and it might just be some mail in ballots left but I really have no idea how it works.

I'll admit I'm skeptical about the results BUT I also trust if there is any actual evidence, it will be investigated. I won't go down the same rabbit holes as they did in 2020 but there will always be a tiny piece of me that wonders. I think it's fine to be skeptical as long as we don't start rioting and claiming fraud with no evidence.

It is certainly within the realm of possibility that someone, most likely Russia, did something to help Trump win, including messing with the vote.

Ballot boxes were on fires, there were bomb threats. I have heard people having issues receiving absentee ballots, now stories of people who voted not having their vote show up.

I get that people want to protect democracy and say we have free and fair elections, but what if we don’t? If one side is willing to cheat/lie/steal and undermine everything, where does that leave us? Especially if they think the other side won’t push back. I get not wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I also think looking at things critically is important.

It just seems unlikely that basically almost everywhere shifted to the right for only the presidential race. It does not make sense given everything. I certainly think Harris could legitimately lose the electoral college. I also think it needs to be looked into and not just assume the election was fair. People deserve to know their vote was counted.

There is also a clip going around of Joe Rogan and Theo James talking on one of their podcasts (not sure which one) and Joe Rogan said Elon Musk had some sort of app he created to monitor the votes. About 4 hours before the election was called he apparently announced it was over, Donald had won and he was going home. I really hope someone who can do something about it is looking into this.

Although I’m going to be honest- it’s scary to think about. Even if they find verifiable proof of election interference the right wouldn’t accept it and the violence would be unavoidable.
