There's no way that if there was election fraud, the powers that be don't know about it. I get things look suspicious, but I don't believe that Elon, Trump or any of his people could pull off stealing an election that seamlessly. It would be insanely hard, and they are so sloppy.

Right. These people are messy and can’t keep a secret. I mean Musk buying Twitter is interference in my mind because he sure helped the misinformation machine but I truly think that is as far as it goes. Agree we can’t just cry fraud because we don’t like the results.
Are we going to say that there is cheating or interference involved every time a Republican President is elected? We are better than this, we just have to accept the outcome because the outcome is not going to change
I don’t think anyone here isn’t accepting the outcome. We are discussing things that we have seen and heard that don’t seem right with us. We know there was at least small scale election interference with the bomb threats in Georgia being of Russian origin (the FBI confirmed). Was there anything large enough to change the results- probably not. For the time being we still have free speech and there is nothing wrong with a small community discussing this as long as we don’t go out and storm the capital.

Exactly. And I don’t even care about changing the results. It’s just the fact that it’s happening. And we know the connection between Trump and Russia. This is not a "normal" Republican obviously and if we had an unhinged Democratic candidate I would feel the same.

I absolutely think there was an elaborate and deliberate disinformation campaign as well as efforts to disrupt voting (see the fires in the boxes and bomb threats on voting day.)
Is that cheating? I think it’s definitely election interference that undermines our Constitution. If there were deeper levels of interference, I am not sure how anyone would - at this stage of the game - announce that without an incredibly destructive and violent response from the right wing.
I also can’t get it out of my head that Trump announced months ago he had all the votes he needed. Was it just internal polling? Probably, but well, he gets zero trust from me.

Yes, this has been the thing that has me going....hmmmmmm. Which is why I said things look suspicious. This the biggest evidence of WTF.
I don't think anything was wrong or off about the total vs. the way people actually voted (except that I hate the result). It's really impossible to "hack" our votes in a traditional way b/c there are tens of thousands or tiny voting jurisdictions that all have different way to vote/count/secure them.
The GOP/Trump didn't need to manipulate the votes, they'd been manipulating the people, media, algorithms and the truth for month and years. I was reading that if youtube/X get the sense that you are a young male by any interest or thing you search for, you will soon be served up a steady diet of "suggested content" that leads you down a dark hole of hatred/anger/Joe Rogan, etc. When all of social media is fueled by anger & outrage, it's easy to "agitate the populace" and convince them that everything is terrible. When the ruling class is a bunch of billionaire venture capitalists, hedge fund managers, and private equity owners, it's quite easy to make record profits and blame the minimum wage for inflation. Toss in thousands or tens of thousands of "bots" or Russian influencers who stoke the outrage & exist solely to create divisions in this country.

Anecdote here... DH sees this on his youtube suggestions. (He doesn't click them. He watches a lot of science videos.) It's disgusting.
My kids are regular watchers of YouTube and I have definitely seen/heard the pro-Trump algorithm (lately they mostly watch reels about football so that's probably why). It's so gross.

By the numbers: As Democrats stare into exit polls, they see the harsh reality with new clarity: Trump improved his margins with women by three points and young women by 11; Hispanics by 13 and African American men by 25.
CNN's Harry Enten found Trump produced the GOP's best showing among younger voters (18-29) in 20 years ... among Black voters in 48 years ... and among Hispanic voters in the 52-year history of exit polls.
Did anyone think Trump would do 23 points better in the district of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.)? Or romp in Hispanic-heavy areas, especially along the border? Or roll up much bigger support in big blue cities nationwide? Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), who co-chairs the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, told us: "Everything's a secondary issue when you're worried about paying your rent and feeding your family. We didn't convince them that we're laser-focused on the basics."
Would that be a dream for just 2 months? It is not going to happen though
If I were Harris, I wouldn’t want it this way.
I wonder if there is a ‘rip off the bandaid’ ‘chicken and egg’ quality to first woman President? Do we need to have one before people can vote for one?

Probably- but I don’t think a month or two would do it. I almost feel like a female VP would have to take over fairly early in a term to “prove” themselves. Which is BS because out of 46 men, only a couple have proved themselves but that’s the world we live in.
That is a complete waste of time, I can understand if the race is close but it was a landslide, they really need to accept the results and move on from this

I didn’t read this article but is it a recount for her? I did get a fundraising email asking me to donate to recount efforts for some senate/house races that haven’t been called and have super tight margins.
