Here we go....let's see how many last longer than a scaramucci.
Susie Wiles (his campaign chair) was announced a few days ago to be his Chief of Staff (1st woman CoS ever). It's scary b/c she's so effective & Trump will listen to her
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) will be U.S. ambassador to the U.N., the N.Y. Post reported, quoting a statement by Trump to the paper.
There's a big scramble to see who will be Senate majority leader... Trump posted on Truth Social, then X: "Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner." NYT is reporting Marco Rubio is being nominated for State.
Which terrible Floridian will take his spot in the Senate?
Geez, what experience does he have with foreign affairs?! My Floridan mother in law will be thrilled. I cant imagine what awful person we'll be stuck with as his replacement.
Rep. Michael Waltz asked to be Trump’s national security adviser
Waltz, 50, is a retired Army colonel and has served in Congress since 2019. He has been a forceful critic of President Joe Biden’s foreign policy and serves on the House Armed Services Committee, House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Intelligence Committee this term.
Trump picks Kristi Noem to serve as his Homeland Security secretary
President-elect Donald Trump has selected South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his next secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, according to two people familiar with the selection.
Noem will be tapped to take over the agency as two key immigration hardliners — Stephen Miller and Tom Homan — are slated to serve in senior roles, signaling Trump is serious about his promise to crack down on his immigration pledges. With his selection of Noem, Trump is ensuring a loyalist will head an agency he prioritizes and that is key to his domestic agenda.
Trump & Musk are becoming melded at the hip as Elon is now "first buddy" and "uncle elon" to Trump's granddaughter while Elon is selecting cabinet memebers
Between the lines: The 78-year-old Trump and 53-year-old Musk might seem like an odd couple at first blush. But, they have striking similarities, according to Republicans close to both men.
Both understand the power — and tricks — of social media. Both had tough, dominating dads. Both are rich and have their tentacles in numerous businesses. Both revel in stirring the pot — and spreading fact and fiction at scale. Both lack the empathy that holds others back. Both believe the country and government need a massive shock to be saved. Both view themselves as immune to rules and norms that hold other people back.
(In an effort to be less gloomy because I can’t keep-up this dark pace for 4 years ->) I always get a chuckle when I see Scaramuchi used as a unit of time. It’s great.
WASHINGTON — The American Civil Liberties Union strongly urges the House of Representatives to vote NO on H.R. 9495, the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, which would grant Donald Trump and his handpicked secretary of the Treasury power to investigate and effectively shut down any tax-exempt organization — including news outlets, universities, and civil society groups — by stripping them of tax-exempt status based on an unilateral accusation of wrongdoing.
“Passing this bill would hand the incoming Trump administration a dangerous new tool it could use to stifle free speech, target political opponents, and punish disfavored groups,” said Kia Hamadanchy, senior policy counsel at ACLU. “The freedom to dissent without fear of government retribution is a vital part of any well-functioning democracy, which is why Congress must block H.R. 9495 before it’s too late.”
Kristi Noem is speculated to be his pick for Homeland Security. 🤮
I have to believe that all these terrible picks will hurt Republican policy down the line. They’re not building real leadership—they’re rewarding mindless sycophants. When this is over, those who resist will be strong and the Republican Party will be an empty husk.
“Trump said the department would exist "outside of Government," giving advice to those in the White House on overhauling federal agencies. The arrangement would also likely allow Musk and Ramaswamy to continue working in the private sector and serve without Senate approval.”

I cannot express how much I feel the need to rage scream right now.
I'm trying to find the silver lining; at least he's showing a lot of his cards early. Maybe that'll somehow be beneficial in trying to stop this dumpster fire from completely burning the US to the ground.
