She's not a "next round" person by any means, but I'm excited about my new congressional rep, so thought I'd share the excitement - Sarah Elfreth. She's only 36, she got a reputation as a total nerd and serious workhorse while in the state senate, and I think she's really pragmatic but also will push hard where needed. And like...she's 36. So much runway to grow into her role. I just hope coming in as a freshman to THIS BULLSHIT doesn't burn her out.
Her district includes just a small area of my county, but she came to I think every one of our Democratic events and was a tremendous resource for our Board of Ed candidates ( although they lost). I’m a fan!
ETA- Johnny O has most of my county, and he also really showed up for us. I always appreciate Dem reps who are willing to show up for my red county.

Our new governor-elect is Bob Ferguson, the former AG who sued the Trump adminstration several times during the last go-round. He's already in talks with our new AG-elect Nick Brown on how to defend against Trump administration policies. Here's to our state being in the thick of things, too! Go Blue States!

I was reading about this earlier this morning. I’m very relieved that Pritzker is co-chairing this. He mentions that he has also spoken to some Republican governors and that there are still more governors who want to be a part of it anonymously.
I feel so off the rails, but I have to believe there are efforts like this happening behind the scenes to help preserve our democracy.
