Side: All of them, I'm all about the sides and sometimes don't even take any turkey. My favorite though is roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, dried cherries and goat cheese.(not a family anything, but I love it and it feels worth the effort on Thanksgiving).
Dessert: Cheesecake
Um, I'm going to need the recipe for those sprouts!

It's actually pretty easy, it's just cooking the bacon that is a pain. The standard recipe is (I double this for Thanksgiving):
1 lb of brussel sprouts, trimmed and sliced. Sprinkle with olive oil and salt, roast in oven at 425 for like 15 minutes, or until tender and edges start to brown. Toss with 6 slices crumbled bacon, like a 1/3 cup dried fruit (I like cherries, I have seen it with cranberries or blueberries as well) and 4 oz crumbled goat cheese (or to taste).
The restaurant I had these in to begin with also added a small amount of vinegar and oil dressing while tossing. I did this the first couple of times I made them but I now leave it out, its flavorful enough without that added. H says it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth, and he isn't wrong.
Favorite Side: Stuffing! We usually make Stove Top, but I used to LOVE the stuffing from Boston Market. I've never actually tried to make it from scratch, for some reason it intimdates me.
Favorite Dessert: I love the chocolate mousse pie we buy from Wegmans. SO GOOD. I also have been making Sally's apple cobbler for the fall and it is really good too. I love apple pie filling but I don't like crust. Cobbler is like apple pie with cake on top. Yum!

I am also an all the sides girl. I don't even bother with turkey or ham. Love stuffing the best, OMG, it's perfect, any kind. I also love mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, any vegetable (except the sweet potato casserole) and all the rolls. I don't like pie so I skip dessert
Mashed potatoes and gravy, and classic pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
But really, I really like the combinationof all the Thanksgiving foods together. A couple bites of one, couple bites of the other; mixing a little stuff into the potatoes, etc.
