Figured we should put all of the (specific) gift ideas in to one thread as we approach the holiday season. Ask for recommendations, leave recommendations etc.

DH is looking for a whisky smoker. Anyone have a rec and/or experience? Is it worth it? I honestly think it's going to be a use it twice, lose half the parts and stick the rest in the drawer gift. We drink a decent amount of whisky burbon so swears he'll use it.
Also thinking about buying a French Press after having that kind of coffee on vacation. It's actually *that much* better. Any brands better than others?
I love my Ninja Creami and use it daily. No purchase required but there is also a highly entertaining Reddit dedicated to it and important questions like can you make ice cream with frozen corn (you can).
circa1978, have you ever had any issues with your Creami? I'm on my third one in less than 18 months. The first one lasted 11 months and the 2nd one only lasted 2 months. Luckily they were both covered under warranty, but still.
@litskispecialty my French press is from IKEA. I previously had a much more expensive one that died after I put too fine of coffee grounds in it. I have had this one 2ish years and no complaints.

I have a fairly basic Bodum one but I'm lazy and only use it if the power is out lol.
Out of the box it let more grounds/sediment through than I can stomach so I purchased a finer filter that I added to the stack that screws onto the stick.
Any good dupes for the Ugg Scuffette women's slipper?
I'm trying to find something with the same chestnut/white fur coloring, a softer sole (not an indoor/outdoor lugged one), and completely open in the back rather than more clog like.
kitty , I stopped wearing Ugg slippers because of the sole. I don't like the open back style, so I'm not sure how good my suggestions will be for you. I'm on my second pair of LL Bean Squam Lake slippers. The soles on these are nice and soft (rubberized, but not rigid). I like that they're real sheepskin. But, with regular use they need to be replaced after 2 years max. The sheepskin wears away in the heel and ball of foot area. The other ones I've liked were made by Sorel... the downside is they aren't real sheepskin and will STINK if you sweat in them.
Anyone have a minimal keychain they can recommend? I'm using this one, but I need to swap out a key and I can't get it to unscrew. I like how minimal it is and it keeps my keys from jangling... but the nut that receives the screw is too small to get a hold of and it's just spinning with the screw. I'm very annoyed with it currently.

I will recommend my new favorite pair of jeans. I started a thread a few months ago and have been searching ever since. These arrived last week and they are AMAZING.
And now I realize that they are sold out. Seems like Social Threads restocks pretty frequently. I will also say that I am 5'8" and needs to wear them with at least a 1" shoe.

not sure about dupes but we got our teenager a pair of these a year ago and I borrow them a lot. They are so comfy especially after a long day of cardio

I would love to recommend the Dyson hair dryer--it does make my hair shinier and fuller AND I can get the whole dry job done in ten minutes. I also used to hate drying my hair it was up there with grocery shopping for me. LOL. I do have rather thin hair though. Anyway, money well spent.

Would these work? I have a different style of slipper from this brand and love them so much
