Ooh, I have a smores maker story!
There is a group of 5 of us who are friends from college. Friend A got married first and for her shower got a smores maker. Didn't want it, so as a joke, she passed it on to friend B when she got married. Then she passed it on to friend C when she got married. I was next and of course got the smores maker - which at this point, it was broken into pieces from being shipped and moved around.
Left it at my mom and dad's house for about 2 years. Well friend E got engaged and so of course I was supposed to give her the smores maker. However, in the time between when I got married and friend E was getting married, friends A, B, and C all got divorced. So it is a cursed smores maker and my mom threw it out because she didn't want it in the house and I didn't want the bad luck for me or friend E
Wow that was a long smores story. And my computer kept trying to changes smores to smokes.

I am fascinated by the Jimmy Hoffa story since I grew up close to the place he was last seen. Police are digging up another location today to try and find his body. I was texting a friend about this and autocorrect kept changing Hoffa to Godfather, which I found very ironic.

Got in a stupid argument with my husband last night. He didn't wake me up to say goodbye this morning. There is a home football game tonight and he has a late class, so he took the motorcycle today. This all gives me great anxiety.
I got my flu shot yesterday and my arm is so freaking sore today.
Thank you for the reminder that I need to make an appointment for a flu shot. I've skipped it occasionally but this year there's an immuno-suppressed 82 year old in the house. Now I just have to get past my needle queasiness!

Last week I asked my boss for some more work as I was completing my tasks quickly. I know have a big project to finish in exactly 30 days. I'm a little nervous because it's very research paper like and I don't want to be "too college course." If that makes sense.
Unfortunately, that means my GCBNing will be a little less as I work to complete this massive project. That I'm oddly excited about it. Projects like this make me love my job.
I ordered it, and now I'm stalking Amazon to see when it will ship! The status has changed to "shipping soon", so I'm hoping I will have it to read this weekend.
I preordered it on my Nook and can't wait for the girls to nap today so that I can start it ;D
There was this kid who is really good friends with my cousin who was in a horrible bike accident a few weeks ago and they had to amputate his leg. Today is the day they are telling him. I thought he knew since he's been awake all this time. I just can't imagine. I feel so bad for everyone.
I had a breakfast meeting this morning. It was out on the patio because inside was full. But their heaters were not working. It was cold! It sucked. Who has a patio but doesn't fix their freaking heaters? That's ridiculous.
My manager also did trivia questions. It was sad that we could barely answer them. "Which states border the gulf of Mexico?" I couldn't answer that one! I could only think of a few. I feel stupid.
I also couldn't answer "What was the name of Tonto's horse?" But I don't feel bad about that one. I'm only 28.
I got my flu shot yesterday and my arm is so freaking sore today.
Feel better! What kind of shot did you get? (I'm wondering if the new little one is much better -- flu shots always really hurt me)
I just got the regular one with the big needle since I've never had any issues with it before. The nurse administering the shot this time though was anything but gentle :-(
If you get the little one, please let me know how it goes. I might opt for that one next year.
I'm in a really bad spot with a client. It's one of those things where I am doing what I can to make it better, but I just have to deal with being yelled at. Unpleasant. We need a file from their IT department in order to move forward and they are refusing to send it/slow playing it out of petulance. Now my boss and my programmer's boss are all over us about it, when we really have no control over the situation. Ugh, I feel sick.
I have a stye that will not go away. I finally made an appt. with an ophthalmologist but since it wasn't until next Tuesday and I'm so past over having to deal with this thing on and off since May and it is beginning to block my vision. I asked around for a recommendation and was able to make an appt. with a different office for this afternoon. I'm excited about getting rid of it finally but am nervous about the possibility of it needing to be lanced. I can't help but picture a huge whale harpoon like object even though I know it's ridiculous.

It's close to where I live now. Funny how it is now a chain restaurant (at least a local chain) with a strip mall behind it. Not how I imagine it looked at the time he disappeared.
Brie he's such a cutie. Are you still at the hospital? Did DH have to go to his trial today?
Thanks! We are waiting to be discharged now, so hopefully we will be home soon. H's trial is on the 8th (I think) so he's going back in to the office tomorrow. My family will be here tonight though, so I won't be alone!
Another random: my mom threw the baby a birthday party. She is a sorority house mom, so when she got word he was born she called all the girls down for snacks, birthday cake, and party favors, LOL.
Also, H felt so bad about the 3.5 hours of pushing he immediately ordered me a waffle iron on Amazon I'd mentioned (in addition to the other push present he had already bought). I think it's hysterical that we will eat guilt waffles now.

I broke my ipad screen. Just a small crack in the bottom, but sadface. I took the baby to the doctor. Her appt was last week! I think it was one of those end of the calendar mistakes. It looked like the last week, but the last week is actually shared with the next month kinda thing. Or they screwed up. Luckily, they fit us in because she needed her shots (I said). Um, nope. She wasnt getting any shots. This was our first appt with the new doctor. The old doctor said she was due. He also may have charged us for shots that we could have delayed for 6 mths (as per Health Canada guidelines) and got for free instead of $400. (only halfwas covered bu insurance)
How many couples are you dealing with? Can you just do a majority rules/if you don't want to do what we agree to, maybe you don't come?
About 10 people (mix of couples and singles). We will go with the majority's preference. H and I have no preference, but we'd like to accommodate the couple with the baby. We just want to see everyone!
