Fruitville Grove GTG?

I went to Hunsader's 2 years ago (I had just found out I was pg) and had a great time. Anyone interested in going? The only day I cannot go is Oct.27 (Saturday) I am doing a mandatory volunteering at our council's signature 100th anniversary event, gs fest. (open to the public, in case anyone wants to come and keep me company there )

Farmer's market, pumpkin patch, hay ride, fair food, log rolling shows, and generally fall goofery? (Hunsader's is open the last three weekends in October.)

I may or may not FINALLY go to Trader Joe's after the fact.

We went last year and for some reason didn't enjoy it as we had in the past. It was so crazy packed that lines took forever, there is pretty much no shade what so ever so it was miserable, and everything was so expensive. We blew through $100 in the first hour on nothing and we were like how did that happen??? And any friends we pumped into all seemed equally as sweaty and cranky, and said they were never coming back. We decided we will stick to Fruitville Grove from here on out. It's not as insanely packed, way cheaper and tons of shade. They have fair food, a big produce market & country shop, pumpkin patch, hayrides, train ride for kids, bounce houses, pony rides, live music, play areas for the kids, vendors, etc., it's all just on a much smaller scale. If you want the vintage car show and one ring circus, they don't have that kind of stuff like Hunsader.

And it's in Sarasota, so you'd be much more likely to make it to Trader Joe's afterwards

We went last year and were horribly disappointed. Especially for the drive. I might consider the Sarasota one, but I'm hoping to make it to one in North Carolina,so it's up in the air.

I didn't mean to sound so negative about a place you were eager to go to, I just wanted to give my honest opinion. We were excited to go last year after going several years to Fruitville Grove, and just didn't have the great time we were expecting.

I haven't heard of Fruitville Grove. I'll look it up. Tasha, if you want and if anyone wants, we can change the venue.

I JUST LOVE FALL. Even our lack of Fall here in Florida.

I just spoke with FI (I am on vacation and visiting my mom this week.) He said he is fine with either one, but thinks now that I have an ulterior motive to go to the TJ's afterwards. Mehbee, FI. MEHBEE, I did. Whatever.

I'm inviting my sister, too (so she can see the girls. She hasn't seen them in a while.)

I agree with Tasha about Hunsader's. I was really excited about it, but it was disappointing and the heat was miserable. Too crowded, too hot, no shade. I think it would be a really tough place to do a GTG.

I've heard good things about Fruitville and would be willing to give it a try, if the timing works out.

My H works on the weekends so I'd be solo with just me and my peanut. The drive wouldn't sound so bad if someone wanted to carpool with us though:)

Sorry, I'm out on this one. I didn't pay close enough attention to the dates you were throwing out before. I can't make it on a Saturday this month, because of other commitments. I've always gone on Sundays, so in my head that was when you were thinking.
