I really pictured her as more of a classic name person. Not that her other kids had really typical names, but even 'Deacon' has a kind of classic feel to it.

I agree with you on all this. It surprised me that she went so off the wall considering.
My side-eye for names has a different standard for celebrities since they all tend to go so off the wall. Tennessee James is pretty normal for Hollywood.
Remember back in the late 90s/early 00s when articles would pop up about "crazy celebrity baby names" and there would be, like, a dozen names, tops, on the list? Now I feel like they should start publishing articles on "normal celebrity baby names." They're sadly in the extreme minority these days.
I think Tenn could be a cute nickname. But I like Blue Ivy, so there's that.
See, I thought they should've gone with Ivy Blue, which I like. Not as much a fan of the color first. Clearly, I do not have the skilz to be celebrity baby-namer.

If this were any other celeb it would be relatively normal. I mean, there is Tennessee Williams*, so a precedent has been set. But I expected something better from Reese. Oh well, I still love her and her family is cute and well-behaved, so they're still light years ahead of most celebs.
*I know it's not his real name. But most people know it as a name, so at least it's not completely made up, or a food or a color.

This is how I feel about it. NMS, but given the celebrity baby names we've seen, pretty normal

I think it's awful. And it doesn't go at all with Ava (normal, if a bit old fashioned) and Deacon (trendy because it's last name as a first name, but it was a family name, so very southern).
She's *from* Tennessee. Somehow that just makes it worse.
I agree that it's normal compared to Blue Ivy and Suri, but I always thought Reece was a little bit more normal than that!

I'm not a fan, but I have low standards for celebrity names. A woman at my synagogue named her daughter Alabama and when the rabbi announced it everyone was like :-|
