It was DWPs thread that was dinged, but we had to remove all objectionable material. As a precaution, I took down the other thread. We were mostly done with it anyway.

I don't mind. I was going to come in today and delete most of what I wrote anyway, just in case anyone they know found it.
So, just throwing this out there, my dad runs a company that does web hosting. Really their only rule is no sexual material with minors. I could ask him about setting something up, if it comes to that.

I really hope we don't have to go back for the best. Even back on the old format it is my as fast to load and I rarely posted because it was so hard on a phone.

Is there a way to communicate with the "gods" to obtain some clarification on the ground rules to address some of our concerns. It appears (google search) that keylimepie's experience is not that uncommon, though not necessarily the norm. With so many members there's bound to be lines crossed and I'd hope that we would continue to have the ability to correct ourselves before we get shut down.
I userstand that it's not our playground and we can get kicked out at will, but it's nice here and I'd like to stay if the rules are clear and fair.

My local has been on proboards for 2+ years and we have never had any problems. We've definitely discussed a lot of things that are probably as bad as or worse than that dp thread. We have had links and photos. No warnings ever.
It kind of makes the conspiracy theorist in me think that someone reported us.

Ooo, interesting.
And really, my only takeaway from this thread is that I had the great misfortune to miss a discussion of DP.
It kind of makes the conspiracy theorist in me think that someone reported us.
i blame knot/nest/bump staff.
This could get interesting. The OP of the DP thread had been falsely accused on the bump and perma-banned on our BMB (FB drama), then we protested and the bump let her come back. Glitorisaurus is the Rudy of The Bump.

Which would make it more plausible that whoever reported her to TB would have reported her to proboards. Not nest/bump staff.

You're right. She said on DWP that Bump Kathleen was the one that reinstated her. IF anyone actually reported her, it could have been the crazy bumpie that tried to get her banned. But if that were the case, I think I would have seen who reported the post.
Also, I sent Ellie a PM about the thread because that content wasn't addressed in our initial rules posts. My PM could have aided in the post being flagged. . . who knows?
So if I say I bought Super Bowl squares at work, my post will be deleted because it promotes gambling? That's more than a little extreme. And what about the Travel board? Are we not allowed to recommend hotel/casinos to people with questions about where to stay and/or play in Las Vegas?

I think recommending something is different than promoting it.
