I'm apparently 7dpo. FF switched me AGAIN because my temp was so high today probably. Even if it changes back, I suspect that this is actually accurate just based on other symptoms around O. Anyways, I'm either 6 or 7dpo depending on how my temps go the rest of this cycle. If I really am 7dpo, my odds have just greatly improved because we'll have hit the most fertile days with greater frequency
So, I'm just chugging along, not stressing, (miraculously! I feel great!) but was curious if you guys test early just to see what's up (like 10-13dpo) or just wait til AF is late.
I have no reason to suspect or get too excited. But I'm naturally curious to have a real answer one way or another. I'm just afraid of the thought of testing early, and it resulting in a chemical. I'd almost rather not know.
But at the same time, I have the same odds of it being perfectly fine.

I have no patience so I start testing early, usually 7 or 8 DPO even though I know the chances are so slim. I actually would rather know if I had a chemical than not know...just to know what's going on, you know?
I've never made it that far. But I've pretty much promised myself that I won't test until AF is late. The tests I currently have are no good until then anyway, and unless you buy super-sensitive tests, you won't get a positive that early anyway.
The first 2 cycles I tested at 10DPO, then 12DPO (AF comes at 14DPO) I've upped it to no testing before 12DPO as I'm running low on cheapy tests and no testing every day.
Last cycle, I gave in and started testing at 8DPO. Right now I'm 6DPO this cycle, and I'm trying really hard to not test until the weekend. We'll see how that goes though!
I'm going to try and hold out as long as possible...I mean, I've almost entirely decided to hold out til AF is due. That's 8 days away. I might crack at 5days...but my will may be stronger than I realize. Getting AF is a pretty def NO, you know?? We'll see what my temps do I suppose.
I don't even know what tests I have on hand..if they're highly sensitive enough to do anything helpful.
Do you find that when you test early and get a negative, it helps the next few days before AF shows? Or does it make you feel worse?
Like I mentioned yesterday, I am totally in this boat. AF/14DPO would be Monday, so I'm trying to convince myself that I will wait until then and only test Tues if no AF on Mon. But I can't stop thinking about it! I know that testing this early won't make me stop thinking about it, bec I will second-guess the result, whatever it is.

Compulsively testing helps me for some reason even though it's always negative. I don't know, there's just something about knowing (or really, thinking I know since the early tests probably wouldn't show anything anyway!)
Testing doesn't make me sad because until AF shows up, there's hope. But once AF starts, I get sad.

I give in and test usually a day or two before my period is supposed to start. This month I got a BFN and was really pissy the rest of the day. I didn't tell H that was why I was in a bad mood though because i know he worries about me worrying and being upset when it doesn't work. So I might try to not test next month unless i'm late.
I find that if i get up and go pee in the morning I am not tempted to test again that day because I've flushed my FMU, and that's supposed to be the best pee to test.
