Who has an iPhone?

I need a new cell phone because mine doesn't work consistently. I really want an iPhone but now I'm reading that the iPhone 5 will be released sometime in the next 6 months. I've looked around online and see opinions ranging from "eh, it's not much different" to "holy crap, this will be the most cell phone EVER!!11!!" What should I do, let H get me the 4S for Mother's Day (the fact that I might not has him in a panic since Mother's Day is in two days) or suck it up and wait?

I haven't looked into the iPhone 5 much, but I would compare the differences and decide if the 5 has anything new that you can't live without. I have a 4, and I don't feel like I'm missing anything by not having a 4S, because I wouldn't use Siri, and that's the big difference.

I don't know much about iPhone 5 but H got me the 4s and I'm loving it. Had it for a week and a half now.

But. I would probably wait for the 5 if I were in your shoes. No sense spending all the money to get one now and then miss out on the new model.

The rumor mill release dates for the iPhones have always had one releasing in the next 3-6 months. They had the 4 and 4S releasing for a solid year before they actually came out. Since Apple hasn't released an official release date I would go ahead with the 4S, its a great phone and since we don't know what the 5 will have officially, you probably aren't missing much.

I really love my 4S and FI has the 4 and loves it, its a great phone if you take care of it.

In theory I agree, but I've always been an instant gratification kind of gal. H is usually the one to talk some sense into me, but he's sold on the idea of an easy Mother's Day gift, especially since he completely blew it last month and got me NO birthday gift.

Just get the 4s. It could be a long time before the 5 comes out.

I have an iphone 4. It was $100 cheaper than the 4s and really the only difference is siri and a better camera.

I got a good deal on my 4 since it was right before the 4s came out. I bet the same thing will happen with the 4s before the 5 comes out.

I do wish I had the upgraded camera on the 4s otherwise I don't think much is different. Not sure about the 5.

DH and I both have the 4s and really like it. I haven't looked up the 5, though, to konw what's supposed to be different. But I also have the first iPad and nothing about the 3rd one screams to me "OMG!!!! I need that one instead!".

The iPhone gives you a lot as it is. Sure, decide if you think you'd REALLY prefer the 5 or not, but if you're not 100% "OMG - I need that", I'd go w /the 4s.

That's a good point, I have the iPad2, and nothing about the iPad3 impresses me or makes me think it would be that much of an improvement. And the 4S has an awesome camera on it, which I really like because it's so much easier to grab our phones to take pictures instead of finding the camera.

I love the 4s. And I'm impatient. So I wouldn't wait for the 5.

I vote to get the 4s. I have it and it does everything I'd want it to. Unless the 5 will wipe my ass and make me dinner I can't really think of a reason I would need to upgrade.

We waited a year because there was always a new iphone around the corner. We finally got tired of waiting and just got one. W have the 4 and love it.
