So I keep hearing about people having 3-day weekends and it makes me sad because 1. we don't get off on Monday and 2. I actually have to work tomorrow :-( So jealous of people with a 3-day weekend!
So what's everyone up to? Other than working tomorrow, not sure what we're doing. Sunday we have to move all of our brush and bulk out for pickup so it will be a fun day of yard work. And I have to do dissertation work at some point.
We're finishing our basement (and almost done thank gawd!) We have one last room to paint. I HATE PAINTING. Hate with the passion of a thousand suns.
ME TOO! I get irrationally angry, like, immediately.
Weekend plans here are sparse. Sunday is supposed to be rainy and cool, so probably staying home. Not sure about tomorrow- it would be nice to get out and do something outside.
ETA: I have to work Monday- no 3-day weekend for me.
I have work tomorrow too. But it's a very short rehearsal and my job rarely feels like work so I don't know why I care. Maybe because I'd rather stay home and hang with DH. I miss him lately...even though I see him every day lol
Also going out to dinner, and probably some other outing. We get restless easily.
I might sew a quilt this weekend. I got some sugar skull fabric today
PIP!!
Tonight we're having dinner at my parents' house with my siblings and their SOs and my 10 week old niece.
I have a hair appointment tomorrow. I am at a loss with my hair. I want to change it, but it's already short (a little past my chin) that I don't know that I can do much of anything. The front of my hair is damaged and refuses to cooperate with me 90% of the time. I'm just tired of fighting with my hair every morning. But I don't have the balls (or the jawline) to go as drastic as Skips's haircut. I don't have cute features like she does.
Then my supporters' group is having a fundraiser/raffle at our home bar while we watch the team play in Colorado. Should be fun.
No plans Sunday, except maybe cleaning the house. :N:
No 3-day-weekend here. Tomorrow I have a friend's daughter's 2nd birthday party which will be fun! Then Sunday is housework/chores/lazy/grocery day. On Monday I'm not going into the office - that day is reserved for looking for new jobs though, so not a fun day off or anything.
I work at a hospital (3 twelve-hour days a week), so I don't work a normal week to begin with. I just had the past 3 days off. But I work Saturday and Sunday all day. We might rent a movie tonight. It's so hard to go out on nights before I have to work because I have to get up so early for work. I only have to work every 3rd weekend though, so it's not horrible.

Do you like that schedule or would you prefer a "normal" one?

I actually love this schedule! I used to work a 9-5 job and love this so much more. There's so much flexibility. We can set our own schedule for the most part. While we do have to work every 3rd weekend, and a couple holidays a year, I don't actually mind because those days are usually pretty laid back and we get paid more for them. And when we (eventually) have kids, we should only have to get day care for a couple days a week.

We're going to see Pitch Perfect tonight and hanging out with friends tomorrow for football and cooking out.
I really want to see that movie!
It was good, but a little slow. They played up the "snob who wants to stick with tradition" a little too much and they didn't get around to fun singing until the end. I was like, enough already, I get the "conflict." But it was entertaining. I was kind I irritated by the woman right behind me shrieking like a hyena - dude, lady, it's amusing, but not hysterical, so she kind of dampened my enjoyment. The main guy is easy to look at in the totally-gettable-guy-next-door way.
And OMG, I can't believe I didn't mention this: O waited for me to go meet DH OOT (positive OPK just before I got on the road) and we've been trying all weekend! I'm so used to not telling people I forgot to tell even you guys lol.
