Ditto whoever said my whole closet is a confession.
I have three pairs of work pants - two are too big. I bought both of those at Costco. The other is a pair of J Crew khakis.
I suck at buying clothes for myself. I basically have three pairs of pants, three dresses and 8 shirts that I cycle through every Monday through Thursday. Fridays I wear Jeans and one of my two college shirts. I basically just repeat the line-up every other week.
My confession about fashion is that I think the S&B board is OOC with the leopard and those nasty GAP camo pants. I don't think the camo looks good on anyone (bloggers or posters)
Camo? I must have missed that one. I stongly hate camo.
Here is the blogger:
Sorry Kendi! I usually love you!
And then a whoooolle bunch of posters have purchased them as well.

I also think teh camo obession is odd and I like camo. I just feel like most adults should not be wearing it. I love leopard though, I just bought a shirt dress in leopard and I love it.

I wear dansko's to work every single day. Also, this might not be a fashion confession as much as a beauty confession, but I hate wearing make up and usually don't bother.
I have some nice jewelry that I never wear My husband bought most of it for me, too. And it includes my engagement ring, wedding band, and an eternity band.
Your wedding band (or is it the eternity band) is so pretty! You should wear it all the time!

Shhh.... it's somewhere in the house, but I have no idea where... don't tell spouse
As he points out, this is why I shouldn't have nice things. I lose them.
Sometimes I wear tights even if the weather not really cool enough. It is always cold in my office, so I figure why not.
For leggings, I think they can be "pants" in the sense that you can wear them with a long top that you would not wear with just tights. But I don't like them with shorter tops, no matter how thin the wearer is.
I think a lot of the stuff on the S&B board is hideous and not really fashionable at all.
I put on Lululemon the minute I walk in the door every single day. I never wear actual clothes once I am home. I also wear leggings as pants.
I NEVER wear real clothes in the house. It is jammie time the second I get home. Like, even if it is the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and I'm home for an hour between errands, I'll change into my yoga pants and t-shirt for that hour and change back into my street clothes right before I leave again.
Only exception is when I'm wearing leggings, because they're essentially pajamas. But I still change my shirt.
My husband sometimes won't change into pajama-type clothes until he's actually about to get into bed. That baffles me so much.
I think some people are confusing leggings with tights. Tights should not be worn as pants, leggings are fine assuming you can pull it off (not me).
I think the comment is true that you can't wear leggings as pants. All it means is that you need to cover your butt. You can't wear leggings with lets say a crop top. It looks bad people!

This is my H also. Or he will come home and we will be going out to soccer practice or something dumb. He won't change into jeans or something more comfy. He will wear a suit to soccer practice. WTF?
This along with the fact that he will wear a scrub top with dress pants makes me go

That I definitely agree with. Proportion is important.
I have multiple pairs of crocs. I cant help it, I hate shoes and would wear flip flops all year if I could. In my defense the most recent ones look like this, I don't think they are too terrible.

I wanted to post the same thing about the S&B board but didn't want to get flamed. There is a difference between fashion and style and I think they are much more into fashion.
Also I love my LLL and have been tempted to wear the groove pants to work on occasion. But that's a slippery slope.

My problem with the S&B board is the groupthink. One blogger wore camo pants, so one S&Ber bought camo pants, so everyone bought camo pants.
Not that we're any better at all, really. See, e.g., Erin Condren planners, UD Naked Palette, Target kimono dress, bubble necklaces, etc. We just do it on a smaller scale
I've worn business casual clothes for three days in a row because I knew my boss wouldn't be here and he's the one who really wants us in suits.
Regarding leggings...does any one know if there are compression leggings that are meant as casual leggings and not workout gear? I just ordered some compression leggings from Old Navy and they are awesome, and so much thicker and "hold you in" than my regular leggings, but they have stitching on them that makes it obvious they are meant for exercise.
My confession is that when I run weekend errands, like to get groceries or to Target, I am always afraid one of those What not to Wear-type shows is going to stop me for an intervention. I am also afraid to run into people I don't know, so I try not to look around.

I could be wrong since I don't lurk over there a ton but I think the difference is there is not 100% groupthink. People mocked those of us who got the EC planners. Some of us don't like bubble necklaces and have said that. Over there you either love it or don't say anything. Which is probably the high road but whatev

As a sometimes lurker of S & B, I was tempted to buy the ON striped dress they posted a few weeks ago.
And of course, I am a card-carrrying bubble necklace wearer.

That is a good point. They are very, very nice over there. Which is maybe why it couldn't be my home board (that reflects poorly on me, not them)

I bought the ON striped dress and love it!
I also bought the Gap dress that was touted as an even better version of the ON striped dress and returned it simply because it looked too much like another Gap dress I own.
I also bought the polka dot ON Rockstar jeans, but they were a fail on me.
So I am certainly very guilty too
I am a bubble necklace owner though I think I may be packing them up for the winter. (Though Verona is tempting me to keep them out because she's still wearing hers -- but in Houston. I'm conflicted.)
I am dressing to try to conceal my pregnancy from work for a couple more weeks, and the results are not pretty. It involves me wearing unattrative, baggy clothing, some of which I actually borrowed from my 63 year old mother out of desperation. I look like a freaking Chicco's ad. I will be so glad when I can look cute and pregnant instead of old and fat.
