Emma for the read-along and I'm finally reading The Last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde. It's been out in the UK for at least a year but was just released over here. I love his stuff.
I'm reading Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander #2). I cheated and read reviews on all the books, so I kind of know what happens. Still, these books are hard to put down. I'm one of those people that like spoilers though. I just know I'm going to cry...
Just started Gone Girl and I'm also reading Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. I'm supposed to be reading Dracula for a book club and I really wanted to read a long with Emma but I only have so much reading time

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin -- I'm leading a book study on it. I like it. I love the concept, and I'm excited to implement the ideas. Her tone is a bit holier than thou, but nothing too awful.
I'm also reading Emma for the read along on here :-)

Just finished Puss N' Cahoots and began The Purrfect Murder. I'm on a Rita Mae Brown kick right now. I just needed something fun and easy. I always enjoy the Mrs. Murphy mysteries.
I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell. I find it nuts that it was originally written in 1949, and yet the concepts/theories are still so scary! It's a slow read for me, I think the paragraphs are sooo long! I tend to prefer lots of smaller blocks of text, it makes it easier for me to read at work where I'll likely be interrupted a lot. But oh we'll, I'll keep plugging along!
I'm reading A Vintage Affair for my IRL book club. I like it.
I'm taking a break from Atlas Shrugged to listen to Beyond the Highland Mist. I've been listening to Atlas for at least a month (I'm ALMOST halfway!) and, while I'm still enjoying it, I'm stressed out by life right now. I need something easy and fun to take my mind off of things.

Paperback: Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosney. Despite the difficult subject matter of this book, I can't put it down!
Nook Color: Catherine the Great by Robert K. Massie. I like this book but there's a lot of detail and it's taking me awhile to get through it. It's not nearly as dry as I thought it would be.

I've read Nicholas and Alexandra and The Romanovs: The Final Chapter by Robert K. Massie. I really liked his writing in both. Would you recommend Catherine the Great?

I personally liked Nicholas and Alexandra better, but Catherine the Great was also quite good. I think I got a better picture of her on the whole, although he refers to a lot of contemporary commentary on her by her associates - some letters and whatnot by her as well, though.

I haven't read any of his other books so I'm not sure how they'll compare. Overall, I like his writing style and he's managed to hold my attention, even during the slower portions of the book. If you've liked his writing in the past, I'd definitely give Catherine the Great a shot.
I'm reading The Night Circus. It's really interesting so far. I want to be a reveur!
Love that book.
I just finished it and loved it - especially all the twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew where it was going, it would do a 180. I am moving on to the 5th GoT book - A Dance of Dragons.

I'm reading Haunted Heartland. It's a collection of true ghost stories. I have had it on the shelf forever and it seemed appropriate for halloween. So far, it's ok. The stories are so short they're hard to get in to.

I am supposed to be reading: The Journal of Dora Damage by Belinda Starling for my IRL book club. Hoping I can find some time this weekend for some one on one time with my kindle.
I'm just sort of bored with reading. It's horrifying I know.
